Went to Kafe ZN for lunch yesterday, its hidden away behind Powisle station, and in a lovely park, which when it has snowed must provide a lovely view from the window of the restaurant. We were a group and had the set lunch which at 25zl represents good value for the quality of the two courses, if you had a sweet tooth you can add a dessert, then the cost is 32zl. Service was pleasant, yet a tad slow between courses, not that we noticed with all the gaduly at the table: D First up was Kapuszniak — sauerkraut soup with sausage, which was pleasant not overly bitter, warm filling and well seasoned. Main course was roast chicken with seasonable vegetables, which was lovely, but i felt lacked a little punch in contrast with the vegetables lacking spice and flavour, a tad bland. I didn’t have the desserts, but my colleagues did, and judging by the way they dissappered quickly they must be very good ! Only grumble was a mess with the bill at the end, this however may have been our group’s fault as we didnt ask for seperate bills, still after 3 attempts all was right. A nice pleasant place for an out of the way meeting, date, or with someone you can’t be seen with, for a modern take on Polish cusine, with some trad faves thrown in
