I’ve tried this place only for breakfast for the moment. Lokal 14 is decorated simulating an industrial environment. The interior is a combination of wood and iron, with gray and browns tones. We could have breakfast all together in a big table close to the bar balcony. I like very much the large windows that place had, since, they provided us with beautiful sun rays giving illumination and shine to the entire room. The breakfast menu was varied but simple at the same time, so the choice wasn’t difficult. I chose some Florentine eggs covered with Hollandaise sauce., the vegetarian version of Benedict eggs. You could also ask for simple but tasty yogurt with fresh fruit, kasza manna with banana syrup, scrambled eggs, or even english breakfast. The taste of Florentine eggs was as it has to be, fresh and tasty. There was bread served on the table(so one more point for this, as I always like to eat with bread), but in my opinion, being served with olived oil instead of butter will be more sophisticated and healthy :) You may wonder the reason of my low rating. It refers mostly to the service. It was very slow and confused with commands, i was the last one in having breakfast because they went wrong three times with my command! Almost in the title of the breakfast menu you could read the possibility of ordering fresh orange juice with your breakfast for 5zl more, and a Sunday at 10.30 am it was sold out: O The portions of the dishes were not big enough in my opinion, and we had to be continuously asking the bar tenders for simple things like sugar, napkins or even toilet paper. :/

I was looking forward to this Unilocal event for a few days now. So in spite of a late Saturday night, I was rushing to reach this place on a bright Sunday morning. The place is easy to find,(on the main Swietokrzyska road).(closer to the Old town metro stop actually). The table had already been set, and I quickly ordered an English breakfast. Though I would have preferred an Orange juice, it was not available and I went for the grapefruit juice. The breakfast was sausages(chicken and pork) baked beans and 2 egg servings. Bread was served on the table. The baked beans with eggs combination is one of my personal favorites so I enjoyed it. But the portion of food was probably a little small for my appetite and was wondering whether I should be getting something else. As always Aga had the answer! She ordered a kasza manna and offered me to taste a spoon. This dish is a like porridge with banana and passion fruit — sweet and doesn’t need a chew — a baby food as she rightly calls it. The total bill for me was 34 pln and I would rate the place as a very reasonable one in terms of pricing. You may wonder then why the three star and not a 5. Well few service issues from the place — food getting over in spite of reservations, not everything available. Paulina our charming host made more than made it up with her charm :). And always fun meeting a few new interesting people!

Crabbing eggs Benedict, florentine, yogurt and granola or English breakfast? This nice restaurant close to the culture palace is great for couples or group brunches. Quite affordable and friendly staff.

The atmosphere of this place is probably the best! The experience was good! I would definitely recommend the burger, definitely a different experience!
