I haven’t been to many restaurants with this type of food in Warsaw but this one is by far my favorite. The cuisine is authentic and I sincerely enjoyed my visit. For starters, it’s not an entirely easy restaurant to find which ensures that there are very few«random» guests. The restaurant itself is small, with about 8 tables, most of which don’t seat more than four people. It’s located on the other side of the street from Arkadia and while there are several other well-known restaurants right next door, we have to go through a scary-looking area of old abandoned warehouses in order to find Maghreb. But trust me, it’s totally worth it. We came here a couple of minutes past noon and were the only guests for about an hour. The waitress was very helpful and attentative. We decided to order two starters — natural-flavored hummus and merguez sausages — and my lunch companion decided to order their couscous royal as well. The hummus was nearly perfect — a bit grainy, just like I like it. The merguez sausages were really, really good too. The hummus was served with a really good, think bread while the sausages were served with a mild chili/mayo sauce. The couscous was impressive to say the least and the portion was large enough to feed two hungry people. Since I had filled my food quota after the hummus and the merguez, we asked for the rest of the couscous in a doggy bag(for the additional cost of 1 pln for the container) Generally, I’m really glad we finally made it out here and I’m pretty sure we’ll be coming back for more. The menu isn’t long but the taste is authentic, the service is great and the restaurant itself feels like a little piece of Morocco with its music playing in the background and colorful interior.
