Great cocktail bar. The staff saw we were english and swapped our menus which was really helpfull. We all ordered cocktails which were made in front if us. We then saw some shots being taken to a table. So we asked the staff to make them for us. They were really helpful. Amd the drinks were strong and tasty

Yup, this is good stuff! Located in a nice area, Plac Bankowy, being a bit quiet but not that much as it has other bars and restaurants near. Basically is great for after work, to enjoy food and life in a relaxed and modern atmosphere. Although there is the annoying smell of fried food in the air — but what to do — the food is tasty and has a big variety of drinks. Pay attention to promotions during weekdays — prosecco 5zl on Tuesdays! Starters are enough if you aren’t too hungry — try Indonesia chicken satay or the spicy chicken wings. Or go for the real vege salad or a different pizza — includes nuts and pear on it! Totally recommend this place!

This restaurant has been a constant question mark for me ever since I visited it for the first time two years ago. For starters — they seem to keep changing their menu and the theme of their cuisine. Everytime I’ve been here — about once every six or so months — they have had a completely different menu than the one I remembered from my last visit. It’s annoying because you come to realize that you’ll never be able to know what to expect from your next visit, nor if the food you ate the last time and enjoyed will still be served. Come on Momu, just find your niche and stick to it. No one likes a restaurant that keeps reinventing itself every 4 months. I enjoyed my first visit here — the one that took place during the summer of ’13. The selection was large and wide with tacos, Middle eastern-inspired food and a wide selection of flavors. My second and third visits to Momu were drink-based rather than food-based(Momu boasts a large selection of various alcohol and that’s probably the only constant part of their menu.) My fourth visit was at an event in April of this year where they were showing off their new menu(!) and my most recent visit took place yesterday, when I came here for lunch with some co-workers. And to my great surprise, they had changed their menu yet again. Long gone is the awesome menu I remember from 2013(which is a crying shame). Nowadays they offer four different burgers, a couple of pizzas, some starters, a couple of salads, a couple of steaks and a couple of desserts. Nothing out of the ordinary, one might think, if it hadn’t been for the fact that virtually everything seems to be a fusion of god knows what. Each burger had strange ingredients in it, the same goes for the pizza, the salads. When turing the menu around, the other side is entirely occupied by alcohol so there’s a large chance you won’t find anything suitable to eat but you can rest assured you’ll more than likely be able to find yourself something to drink. I decided to go for a burger that I modified. It contained, for instance, a beef patty, fried calamari rings, carmelized onion(I asked to have this removed), lettuce, paprika mayo(I asked to have this replaced with regular chili sauce), cucumber and fresh tomatoes. The burger comes with fries and two small bowls — one containing red cabbage(que?) and. kimchi! Like seriously? The kimchi was bad by the way, it had virtually no flavor. I didn’t even try the cabbage. The bun was great, not your average burger bun for sure, the fried calamari was awesome but in general, the burger was mediocre. It looked a lot better than it tasted. For some reason, the sauce was splashed on the two bun halves, and since there were a bunch of things shielding the beef patty from the buns, the beef was ridiculously dry. Like seriously, it was pinkish inside and all, which is great, but it was so dry I contemplated asking them for ketchup(which I didn’t). It definitely lacked sauce. And cheese. The fries were good but I lacked sauce for them too. It seems like Momu is running some sort of a modern European/Asian/?? fusion theme in their kitchen now and honestly — I don’t think it’s working. The burger was okay, like very weak 3 stars, but I’m getting tired of their constant changes. So sorry Momu but I won’t be coming back until you find your niche and stick to it!(and I sincerely hope it’s not the thing you’re running with right now, because it’s a fail in my opinion)

Momu is a good place for a casual lunch or dinner. During the day they have two options for daily lunch for 18 or 25zl. Both include soup of the day, main course and a small dessert. Great price value! At night the menu is slightly different from lunch. They play live music and the ambience is good for a small gathering.

Momu, along with it’s big sister Aioli, is like Venus Fly Trap. Both look nice and smell nice, but they are ultimately carnivorous traps in disguise. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I’ve been monitoring Momu from day one. I went to the opening party which featured lots of waify aspiring models, free beer, and gold flaked hot dogs. I went when the menu was promoted as Tapas prepared by an expert Australian chef.(Even though I don’t know what an Australian has to do with Tapas). They served intersting things like Sweet Potato Crisps. I was extremely exicted that alternative places like this were opening up in Warsaw. Places that were like real restaurants with varied, decently priced menus, nice atmospheres, and good locations. Something resembling the many sitdown franchise restuarnts back home. Yet, Momu and Ailoi have failed on virtually every level. Perhaps the problem has always been their incohesive brand identity. They never picked one thing and stuck with it. The place moved from tapas to interesting sounding but poorly executed ethnic cuisine. Everyone working there seems to be confused about their role, the menu, what they are doing there and what the people sitting around are doing there. My most recent Momu let down was driven by their new«Hangover Brunch» menu. There is one dish on the menu that I rather like(thus the two star rating and not one), which was only introduced recently. It’s Eggs Benedict(two poached eggs served on toast with bacon or sausage under the eggs and a Hollandaise sauce), with tiny dollops of hummus, «Israeli salad», and tabbouleh. Now, the hummus and tabbouleh are spot on, but the«Israeli Salad» is a joke. It’s worse than a joke. I just got back from Israel and their standard salad is chopped fresh cucumbers and tomatos. There are very slight variations, but that’s what it is. Whatever I got had green beans, lima beans, and other random vegetables in it that did not include cucumbers or tomatos. Now it wasn’t bad — but it was not what I ordered, it was not what the menu said it would be, and I am not a fan of random vegetables or fruits popping up in my food, especially when they are neither complimentary nor cleverly placed. We also ordered a dish that was supposed to come with salsa, which it did not — and there was corn in it. The menu said — a dumpling with mixed vegetables so it wasn’t completely lying — but why — why does corn need to go in anything that is even slighty Latin American in origin? I ate one and couldn’t eat anymore. While the eggs and the rest were quite good, it is a very small portion and leaves you wanting to order more food but everything on that menu is suspect. I do not trust any of it to come out the way it’s written on the menu or to meet even my tiniest expectations for it. And this has been my experience every time I go here. If I get a hotdog with chili con carne and guacamole I get sliced avacado, corn and mystery meat on a burnt hot dog. It’s as if they run out of stuff in the kitchen and then just grab whatever is at hand to make up for it. Oh no cucumbers and tomatos so green beans and lima beans SAMETHING. There is no culinary integrity in the food. I’m always disappointed, to the point where I can’t even trust dishes I like to come out as edible. The meal also came with free refills of coffee. This is a novel concept in Warsaw. To get free coffee refills is super rare. I was very excited by this prospect, especially because it’s typical in American restaurants. However, it is pointless to offer such a deal when the waiter never comes to check on you or to ask if you want a refill. I wouldn’t say the service here is any worse than it is anywhere in Poland — waiters will simply never ever ever come to your table to check on you. Yet, this is particularly annoying when you have to go to your waiter with your empty coffee cup and Oliver Twist some out of him…“Please sir I want some more.“ Aslo, I asked for milk, which was heated it up in a regular glass. It’s just little details like this –the total I could care less what kind of food i’m giving you or what kind of service you’re getting — shut your mouth and deal with it restaurant attitude. I expect more from Warsaw restaurants. Yet, when it comes to paying, the«waiter» will stand over your shoulder like a money vulture. Now he’s all intent on what’s going on at your table. I’ve had just several bad experience with the staff, the food makes me want to cry, and I feel cheated and stupid every time I eat here. NOMORE. I’ve drawn the line.

I visited this place 3times so far — 1st time in July and was really happy about the place — nice waiter, good food, for me good value for money, especially taking into consideration its location — sitting outside just in the heart of the city, enjoying nice informal food and drinks, good mixes of both alco and non alco ones. Nice and helpful waiter, really tasty drinks and food just ok for you satisfy your hunger but not too eat too huge meal . So next time I wanted to take my friend there as it was nearby our meeting place and to be honest it was really disappointing in terms of service. There were 3 of us but we didn’t get 3 menus — only 2 card of drinks and 2 menus — mhm :/and further on it was even worse — after making our order we wanted to keep menu cause we were considering whether to eat or not — the waiter said, he cannot leave as menu, he will bring it when we want — cause clients put their plates and cups on the menus, they got dirty and manager got angry… seriously? Especially that there were not so many ppl in the place so it was not that they were missing menus for they guests. We ordered white wine and got into conversation — thus when bottle arrived we really didn’t look at it just said it was ok and we got really shocked when we saw the wine was red — the reaction of waiter, ok maybe I can understand this part, was but hm I showed you the bottle :/, so we said, ok, but we wanted white and you have white ones in dark bottles nowadays so please replace it. He said he needs to ask manager, and when manager arrived he was simply rude, asking us which wine we ordered etc– com’n what’s the point for us to change the bottle if we liked red, and they could always try to sell it in glasses at that night… Finally we got our bottle of white wine but their approach was horrible and we really didn’t feel welcome there anymore. Still we finally went for Momu plate with hummus and it was ok, maybe hummus could be less liquid and more hummus in taste but it was really ok, snails we got were also appropriate so to sum up food again good small snack, ok price for the location but the service horrible! I didn’t want to go there anymore but on 1.01 not so many places were open for breakfast so we went there and we ordered Egg Benedict — they were really nice and tasty, nice vegetables served with it also ok. My friend got Mo’Fitness — and jams were nice, yoghurt as well but they didn’t bring honey and she needed to request it, also they could serve more bread or less jams ;-). The question is whether muesli was supposed to be eaten with this yoghurt — then again proportion were not the best;-). We got different waiter and it was ok, although it was hard to catch him and draw his attention to use, when we wanted to order sth more. Disaster came when we wanted to order tea from the guy how served us during my previous visit. He was not able to memorize order — 2 coffees and 1 tea — maybe he was so hangoverish, but still he came to work… then he was not able to say what tea they offer — saying we have few and finally he forgot about our order and didn’t inform ours about it — so if you are around and want to eat sth in informal atmosphere go, maybe also as before the party or chill with friends, but it is not the one and only place to spend nice time as the service may spoil everything. If you are there, in my opinion, avoid waiter with black earrings — I bet he will bring wrong food or forget sth :/.

Wow, what a difference couple of months make. A refreshing concept that I was soo excited(and gushing about in my previous review) was brutally butchered. You see, this place used to stand out with its unique tapas menu, which was fun and flavorful. Now the menu changed and looks like any standard place you will come across in Warsaw — pizza, burgers, some appetizers, pasta, etc. Ok, so the menu changed… presentation is different now, but what happened to flavor? Dishes are bland, unseasoned, and overall dull tasting. I simply hated it, and I do not use this word lightly. I give a star to our waitress that was sufficient and pleasant. And a star for more or less descent drinks. What a pity, never again!
