Breakfast, breakfast, breakfast! We have been to Sam in three occasions and breakfast is with no doubt the top choice. Casual, trendy, selective. Sam has one of the best bakeries in the area. Breakfast menu offers a wide range of options: egg dishes and omelettes; pita, sandwiches or paninis, granola, homemade yogurt or oats. Breakfast plates are between 15−25zl. Additionally you could choose from one of the breakfast sets which includes main dish, juice and sides from about ~25/35zl. Vege set sounded amazing and truly filling. The bread itself is delicious. If you are lucky it will be still warm straight from the oven. If you have special dietary needs, SAM is a place where you can find options: lactose free, gluten free, soy free. It has options for everyone. Lunch and dinner are good to but slightly behind breakfast. As a soup lover I must admit cream of pumpkin was excellent. But the salads or warm dishes did not seem so special. If you are an early bird you might be lucky to find a free table at opening. Yet, if you like pressing the snooze bottom(like myself) a few times make sure to make a reservation in advance! The place is likely to have a queue. I think the crusty warm bread has created quite a word of my mouth…

SAM is a good place for breakfast. They have everything that you need in the morning: fresh food, good coffee and tasty cakes. Service is attentive and professional. It’s busy so booking a table is probably a good idea. We came at 9.00 am on Friday and it was almost full. I took bagel with salmon and egg — perfectly prepared with a cream cheese. Breakfast menu is long and a little complicated but if you spend some time on reading it carefully you will find everything you need… I hope :)

I was there in the Weekend Restaurant Week 2014 and we had a specific menu but I must say its a great place for lunch OR brunch. Cozy and bright place that warms u and they have their own bread and sauces where they sell in their small shop inside. I had falafel with home made humus, bread with different sauces(olive oil and herbs and spicy sauce that actually fits with bread). Dessert was blueberry ice cream with mint and milk, although without much taste. Great for coffee and brunch, either sweet or salty(healthy food included!)

Awesome restaurant space and the food is on point. I’m a breakfast fanatic so I vibe with everything here. Curiosity says you should probably get a smoothie and something with eggs.

I love their breakfasts!(but I don’t know much about the dinners) Their bagels are to die for and they have a choice of interesting smoothies as well(try the ones with«spirulina», which I believe is some sort of algae with alleged health benefits of course :)). You can purchase their crispy bread in the shop downstairs. Prices are in line with what you’ll find in similar places in Warsaw. Quite a few Unilocalers here complain about the quality of service, in particular the waiting time. Personally, I have not experienced any of that. The waiters seem friendly, but the place gets pretty crowded at times so this might be the reason. In any case, especially if you plan to visit on an early Sunday afternoon, you might want to make a reservation.

I really wish I can give a better rating to this establishment. It should be great, the whole concept of baked goods, fresh squeezed juices, light dishes you expect a blissful enjoyable lunch/breakfast there… But they just don’t deliver. Been there 3 times, and can solidly say they are inconsistent with food as well as service. I actually don’t mind waiting a bit if you gonna bring out delicious meal in return. I just can not tolerate bad service and over cooked sunny side up eggs at the same time.

I just moved back to Poland, and I’m now staying right next to SAM. They have an awesome breakfast menu, and their juice number 18 is to die for. And the bread! Crisp! Fresh! Yay! The only problem is the hilariously awful service during busier times. It’s so bad, it actually becomes something of an asset: it’s just great to watch! They seem to have far too many people waiting tables at once and neither of them appears to have any clue what they are supposed to be doing. No organization whatsoever. They bump into each other, desolately stand in line for the terminal, move around in senseless Brown movements like particles. No one is getting served, but they all look genuinely busy and tired. My friends and I just had our second brunch in SAM this Saturday and the following things happen: 1. We didn’t get the menu until we asked for it three times, 2. Our order was mixed up, 3. I tried to order one more glass of juice(the awesome number 18!) and I did received it, but AFTER we paid and put our coats on, 4. We asked one waitress for the check, and she said she was not waiting this table, so we have to catch the ‘right’ waitress(I might be spoiled, but shouldn’t you just tell your friend it’s time to give your clients the check?). The right waitress was nowhere to be found for what seemed like eternity. Then the image of the right waitress eventually started fading in our memory, so we employed a hit-or-miss strategy, that was, in the end, successful; the right waitress was located and given the money. So, you should totally go to SAM for a weekend brunch, have the super-tasty eggs on toast, and consider it to be an adventure of sorts. Will you get what you ordered? how long will it take you to locate your server? Will your coffee come before or after your meal? ISITCOMINGATALL? Or you can go on a weekday, and enjoy both the food and the nice interior without the craziness. Some people, I hear, prefer it this way…
