I had the tofu pad thai here and I can’t say I was terribly impressed. Noodles were definitely missing the characteristic wok favor. Par for the course for Thai food in this part of the world. Slightly disappointing given that prices are relatively high. At least the portion was large.

After reading such positives reviews I was very keen to trying this restaurant. Indeed a new face in Plac Bankowy was needed. Tasty brings new options and new cuisine to the area. The PROS: Thai food! Always welcome. Not sure if all the dishes are authentic, but Tom Yum soup was ok and mango rice was delicious! Actually I could go back only for mango rice again :) The food is good but to my opinion nothing extraordinary. They are other Thai places in Warsaw which I would return happily over this one. Perhaps is because spices are turn down to accommodate to local taste, or ingredients are mix with local flavors to adapt to the market. I am not sure but I did not feel in Thailand at all. The CONS: usually fully book for dinner, walk-ins are not necessarily very welcome. With reservation or not, our host seems all he wanted was us to eat fast and clean the table. To take the order he took a while but after we were served he was eagerly waiting for us to eat, pay and clear the table for the next customer. I understand that is their business, but I doubt I will happily return to the restaurant after the feeling. Sorry Thaisty, but customer experience makes a huge difference for me. :(

I felt like I was at the Thai restaurants back in California. The shrimp Pad Thai is delicious here, made with JUMBO shrimp, and the portion sizes are well worth the price. The waiters speak English very well and there is an English menu available. My only criticism is the small drink sizes. I asked for an aperol spritz and I am used to receiving the large Italian style huge wine glass size, and they gave me a very small glass and still charged me 18 zloty for it. It was delicious, though, despite the size. Definitely recommend this place if you want authentic Thai style.

Finally a breath of fresh air in Plac Bankowy. Although the nice restaurants in this area and surroundings(until Opera), the place needed something new and I really hope this place grows. Probably adapted to western countries, this thai restaurant offers tasty, fresh dishes at very good prices and you will find it full of people. I ordered TOMKHA(broth, lemon grass, galanga, lime leaves, coconut milk and oyster mushrooms) but I didnt like it: too much coconut milk(although i like it) and really strong flavor! – So, if its first time, dont chose this but vege or meat instead! I love it when the doors are totally open and you feel the summer and light, plus is good for families and kids. Big tables so you can share with someone, if place is full and staff is nice.
