We were placed in the«Media Room» which was huge. It had a lot of unnecessary space and a hell of a lot of outlets. The bathroom was ok. No tub just shower. Glass sliding shower doors. The sink was weird. The space between the nozel and the height of the basin didn’t make sense. Arkward to wash your hands. Valet parking was only $ 8 so that was great. Nice size pool out doors. Great location for food options. The safe in the room was broken. We only stayed there one night so didn’t bother to complain about it.

We got this hotel on Groupon for a good rate but the pictures are pretty deceiving. And the breakfast isn’t that great. But nothing worse than any other hotels continental breakfast. During the day there was work being done on The hotel so it was very noisy, we were gone most of the day so wasn’t a big deal but I tried to take a midday nap and couldn’t. At night it was very quiet. I didn’t use the pool but it smells realy strong of chlorine so I didn’t really want to. The view of the beach is great and a lot of places for food near by. Compared to other similar hotels like holiday Inn express this place isn’t that good. But I’m kinda picky and I did enjoy my stay. 3 stars is fair for this place. Not bad but nothing special about it.

My friend and I enjoyed watching Hitchcock movies here at night and enjoying their super sunny pool in the daytime. Both restaurants are very good(Salt and Faicco’s Pizza). The rooms are very«1970’s Brady Bunch» style. Out of date but you can’t beat the location and prices here. The hotel is across from the beach and the area’s filled with fast food places and a few upscale places at other resorts. You can wear your flip flops day and night here in Isla Verde. Anyway, this hotel is safe and clean — a simple spot. Lovely Front Desk staff! As were the guys who handled baggage storage. The guy who cleans the windows by the pool was super hardworking and polite, the same goes for their superb Housekeeping Staff! Just pretend you’re the Brady’s and go!

They messed up our reservations; we booked a suite through Travelocity and called HoJos direct days before to confirm. Showed up and had a standard. We were able to work out a refund for the difference through Travelocity. This place is pretty run down. Toilet handle sticks so toilet keeps running and makes awful noise. Paint is all chipped out of tub. Elevator from 2nd back down to lobby doesn’t seem to work and they wouldn’t let us use the service elevator. Apparently they messed up a major reservation because there were people sleeping all over the lobby. Breakfast was continental — muffins, toast, etc. Google maps directions to hotel were incorrect. Staff is very nice.

Clean, comfortable, quiet & centrally located. The room had an electronic safe and a mini refrigerator with freezer and 2 complimentary bottles of water. If you drive, you’ll find their parking lot convenient and nicely priced. They offer a complimentary continental breakfast till 10:30AM. The hotel is on the opposite side of the street from the row of buildings that have an unhindered view of the ocean. I gave them some dry cleaning ATTHETIME I CHECKEDOUT and they still went out of their way to get it done for me(for pick up after 5pm). I also asked them to hold my bags and some goods that needed refrigeration, to be picked up later in the afternoon(so i could go driving around the island without worrying about a break-in). With a dedicated room that they keep secured very well just for this type of requests i felt at ease to leave my bags with them. They also found room in their refrigerator for my goodies. Without any hitch when i came back my bags were there and my laundry was done. The bright and authentic smiles of all the ladies working behind and in front of the front desk made my day a bit brighter. Definitely i will be back :)

Decent hotel. Excellent location! Staff were friendly and accommodating. The initial room we were put in had mold forming around the air conditioner vent. My daughter and I were quickly moved when I informed the front desk. There is an Italian restaurant housed in the lobby of the hotel and it looks as if they were in the process of opening another restaurant there as well. Across the street from the beach and blocks away from many restaurants(Burger King, Wendy’s, Ponderosa, Chili’s Brother Jimmy’s BBQ, Taco Bell, to name a few) & casinos. Continental breakfast on the 10th floor daily. Pool and gym that stayed open late(7am — 9pm). & each room had a microwave & fridge. All the amenities I wanted/needed. They were in the process of doing renovations, so I’d stay here again just to see the improvements made. Lol

It’s actually called Howard Johnson Isla Verde, and that’s what it says on my reservation confirmation. It is in Carolina, a suburb of San Juan. I’ll try and correct the name and info. We needed a place to stay one night to wait for our third person to fly in the next day, so we weren’t picky but wanted a reasonable place near the beach and near the airport. Oh yeah, we wanted breakfast too as it is awkward staying at a hotel just one night and having to go out for breakfast and then rush back to pack and check out. Didn’t want to pay for parking either. I was surprised at the high cost of San Juan hotels, and this seemed the best value overall that fit our criteria. We liked it. Across the street from the beach and the breakfast on the rooftop was adequate. Nice view from up there. Parking was free and easy in their big lot. The building is a little dated, but that’s OK for a night. We’d stay here again for an odd night or two when coming or going to the airport.
