Great staff, friendly and attentive. The plantain crusted Mahi Mahi was delicious. The Mahi Mahi tacos were also good. Tres le he was great… Highly recommend them… Yum

These guys were fabulous. It takes a while but I think it’s also for us to just enjoy my family time. They were totally accommodating for my daughters gluten allergy and were so friendly. Leaving here very satisfied. Would highly recommend

We decided to stop by this place without looking at the reviews and I will say it was the best decision we made during our entire time vacationing her in San Juan. The Cuban sandwich was amazing. We also tried the sweet plantains, delish! And I can’t forget the drinks… The whole experience was one to remember!

We came in for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food! I ordered the Empanada Tower, they were out of the steak so I got three chicken & three veggies, they were very good, but, the $ 18 price tag for six empanadas was a bit much. One of my girlfriends ordered the steak sliders, the steak was cooked very well, they were a bit small though. My other friend ordered the Cuban sandwich and this was absolutely delicious and more than worth the $ 13 it was a huge sandwich and everything was fresh! I’ll definitely return for the Cuban! The Caipirinhas were very tasty too. All in all this was a great lunch and we all left with full stomachs!

I was lucky enough to eat at The Parrot Club twice during my trip to San Juan. The first experience was better than the second; however, both had equally yummy dining experiences. The Caipirinhas are AMAZING at this place. You should also try the Parrot Passion, I’m told, as it’s to die for too. Careful, though — as with any restaurant like this the drinks will be mighty expensive and they never run any specials. I had a plate of «nachos» on fried cassava root with chicken, avocado, sour cream, pico and some sort of sauce. They were absolutely delicious! Very different from the typical idea of a «nacho» and that was a good thing! They come in two sizes: Small and large. The small plate is plenty for two to three people – trust me! I tried the veggie empanadas. Ohemgee. You will want the recipe. They bake them, not fry them, so you taste far more of the flavors and spices so carefully selected for the inside. On the side, you get a traditional mojito(cilantro + oil) sauce which goes perfectly to bring out the flavors within. Must go. My first waiter was much more friendly than the second, but I admit my dining companion was a little particular about her food, so he probably got frustrated. We were seated by an area that had leaks from the overhead piping and water kept dripping down on me: No bueno.

My wife ordered the steak sliders with plantain chips. The sliders were very good but the plantain chips didn’t taste like anything. I ordered the empanada tower, the presentation was very nice but the empanadas were very small. It should be under appetizers because it can hardly be considered a full meal. Nonetheless they were very good. However, I wouldn’t come back to this restaurant because there are plenty of other places that will give you the same food at a better price and with bigger portions.

Stopped in for a mojito. Probably best of the trip. Get it in a tall glass! You’re on holiday!

The Parrot Club was a good find in old town Peurto Rico– close to the port, to our cruise ship, with hot fresh authentic Peurto Rican cuisine after a long day of sampling Sangria in nearby Caguas. You can’t go wrong here. The drink menu is fantastic, full of yummy rum drinks and local concoctions. The menu too had wonderful authentic dishes. I had the Mofongo, a local dish of crispy fried plantains stuffed with chicken, rice, and beans. I had heard of it, but never tried it and it was delicious! My daughter had the arroz con pollo, succulent chicken stewed with rice and amazing island spices. The waiters were attentive and nice, speaking English and understanding that we were exhausted, slightly drunk on Sangria, and needed attentive service– they were very gracious! Fortified by a wonderful meal, we left the Parrot Club refreshed and boarded our ride parked at the end of the street with minutes to spare! Thanks Parrot Club!

My wife and I had been to the Parrot Club on several occasions over the last 15 years or so and recommended to friends that were visiting in Old San Juan. It was always awesome food, fish of great quality, excellent drinks and service. Every time we were in Old San Juan this was a place we knew we would get a good meal… Not the case in our last visit. Seems like it might be under new management, we were met outside the restaurant by a host that acted like one of those ‘barkers’ at a tourist trap, I guess this is what it has become… There were only 3 other couples in the restaurant when we arrived… Took a while to order and get drinks. The ceviche appetizer was horrible, tasted like sardines from a can. Then I ordered the PORK Mofongo, after waiting for a really long time, keep in mind, 3 couples in the restaurant, it is a Chicken Mofongo, tasted it and it was good but it was COLD!!! I called over the waiter and sent it back, it comes back out this time, lukewarm. My Wife’s dish was not good at all, the mahi was not great. The sad side vegetables were cooked with stale sesame oil, not sure what that was about… Cocktails were decent… Sadly we will not be coming back… Too many other places in Old San Juan that serve much better food and with better service… Real shame, this one was one of our ‘go-to’ spots

Amazing!!! Sat upstairs. Nachos was the best ever, with a plantain chip. Wish I could get this dish in NJ. I dream of it since we ate dinner there last week on vacation. Another must is the frozen passion mojito. Wow, delicious. Also met owner while dining. Nice guy. A real treat, a must visit place.

Decent food and cocktails, family friendly atmosphere and staff. Parrot Club is an Oof Hospitality property that features a fresh, family friendly take on Puerto Rican cuisine. We started with cocktails — a spicy jalapeño ciprihana for my wife and a refreshing mojito for me — and the steak empanadas. The empanadas were good, with a lighter flavor than I’ve had elsewhere, making this appetizer a nice start to our meal. I chose the blackened mesa with root vegetables. The fish was very light and flaky, with a flavorful, not spicy, seasoning on one side. Root veggies were plentiful and garlicky, very good and fresh. My wife chose the black bean croquettes and ceviche. The ceviche was as described, not anything to seek out or make a special trip for. The croquettes were lightly battered and dense, again good but not memorable. We had the mango cheesecake for dessert. It wasn’t very good; we should have skipped it. Overall the cocktails are good and the food is serviceable. A family friendly place, with a modest children’s menu, and reservations handled by Open Table.

The Parrot Club is now one of my favorite places to eat, when I travel! The food was UNBELIEVABLE, the drinks were the BOMB, service was EXCELLENT(I don’t think I’ve experienced such accommodation anywhere before!) That delicious Hazelnut Chocolate Dessert that you guys walked across the street to your sister restaurant was DIVINE! Thank YOU all for making my Birthday amazing! See you all again… SOON!

We came here our first night in PR and the food was great. I had the the mahi fish with yuca mash and my bf had the mahi tacos. My Dish was done to perfection, I loved it and my bf loved his tacos. We had a couple of drinks. Their mojitos were great and we were pleased with service. The people were really friendly and we enjoyed our dinner

I had less than an hour to eat dinner before rushing to the airport for my flight. I made a last minute reservation on Open Table and secured an 8 p.m. time slot for four. I saw the pictures online of The Parrot Club, saw that there would be live music, and could tell that the vibe here would be awesome. Located in the heart of Old San Juan, The Parrot Club blends right into the unique neighborhood. Upon entering, the place had excellent vibes. The hostess seated us quickly. Then, the music started rolling. I wish I could’ve enjoyed the music more, but again we were in a rush to finish our food. Thanks to our lovely waiter for making that happen, as he brought out our drinks and food as soon as possible. We ordered the Pina Colada for drinks, and boy it was delicious. The bartender was extra generous on the liquor, but the coconut in the drink balanced out the liquor well. We shared a few entrees and a side of rice and beans. The food was okay, but everything else of the meal made up for the mediocre food.

Best nachos I’ve had! Not tortilla chips but hand cut batatas and plantains. Had the soho taco salad and was decent. Husband had the Cobb salad and said it was good. Fries were also tasty and drinks were strong. Wasn’t expecting much and this place surprised me. But $ 5 for a kids lemonade and no refills is too much. Bill came to $ 95 for 4 of us and 2 alcoholic drinks.

If you are looking for some Puerto Rican cuisine, then this is a place you need to check out! There were 7 of us dining at The Parrot Club so I thought a reservation would be a must, but it didn’t seem like that was the case. Upon arrival(at 8PM) there were plenty of options for seating if we didn’t make a reservation. Note, they are listed on OpenTable so if you want the points, you may as well make a reservation. Mofongo is a must try at The Parrot Club. Plantains, garlic and bacon… what’s there not to like? Seriously try this. This is a great place for groups. I was between a few items on the menu so our waiter walked me through my options, asked me what I was in the mood for and how spicy I wanted my meal. After giving him information he picked out an new option for me and it was awesome. If you are unsure of something on the menu don’t hesitate to ask your waiter!

Food and drinks get five stars. Serious mixologists making the drinks and $ 5 mojitos during happy hour. Food was on point. Both the calamari and empanadas were great appetizers. The detractors were the price of the food and the waitstaff was a bit uppity. But as a whole I would definitely come back just try to deal with the hostess as little as possible.

I was skeptical… but I came here for lunch and the food was good with reasonable prices. I had black bean frittatas and some sides like beans and rice and a salad. Everything was fresh, served reasonably fast, and the bill was not too bad. They have a full bar and PCI up for dinner, especially if the cruise ships are in. I don’t know about dinner, but a good lunch spot!

Go to the Parrot Off of the cruise ship for a day tour, we meet a couple on the street and discuss restaurants for lunch. They offer for us to tag along as they are on their way to the Parrot Club. Located on a very busy street, we enter this large restaurant and are seated very quickly. This spot was a very good choice. Very busy with the lunch crowd, we had a small wait for our food, but, our selections were way worth it. Go to the Parrot: Worth the wait and worth it for the food.
