Don’t expect much specially the beef even though they are called little cow. everything else is fine but the beef is one of worst one we had, we order a big dish of it, it’s like $ 1xx and we left 80% of it not eaten at the end. not even worth eating it. we’ll NEVER come bad to this place.

So the English name for this place is apparently ‘Calf Bone King’, but I’ve been referring to this place as the ‘Little Cow Hot Pot’ for ages, in comparison to the famous ‘Little Sheep’ hot pot joint scattered around Hong Kong. Calf Bone King sounds far more intimidating than ‘little cow’, so I think I’m going to stick to my little cow nickname for cuteness’ sake. Names aside, the menu options can also be a little intimidating. There is a giant garoupa which is sold in parts for the shabu shabu — you’re given a very generous portion, chunks of fish with a great meaty flavour that really doesn’t require any sauces to keep you satisfied. If you order the geoduck sashimi/shabu platter, be ready for another huge plate: at under $ 300, you get a big portion of the whole geoduck sliced raw. As a sashimi dish, it’s pretty good and perhaps preferable than as shabu shabu because you get the full breadth of crunchiness, and a smooth texture. Other seafood worth considering — the skewered shrimp, which was still alive on the skewer when we got it. I can’t really comment much on this since I’ve only had one stick, but the meat was quite sweet. One thing to note is that the thin-sliced beef — an obvious shabu shabu component — was very average, with decent marbling but I’ve definitely had better.
