Dabarkadz Filipino Restaurant

I can honestly say, having tried MANY Filipino restaurants, that Dabarkadz is HANDS DOWN the BEST Filipino food I’ve ever had. Ever. No, seriously.
In my short 3-​day visit in HK, I made my friends come back a second time so that we could try more things from their menu.
The first night we had the chicsilog (deep friend half chicken with rice and egg), barsilog (skewered beef with rice and egg), sinigang (sour soup with meat and veggies), kare kare (oxtail in a peanut-​ty soup) and a deep fried pork belly (I forget its actual name, but #5 on the menu — see picture). No word of a lie, ALL OF IT was delicious! Every single thing. We got halo-​halo for dessert (shaved ice with various flavoured jellies, ube, crispy rice) and leche flan — the perfect ending to an amazing meal.
So how could we not come back?!
Our second meal consisted of tocilog (sweet pork with rice and egg), laing (taro leaves) and barsilog. The laing is not my favourite meal to begin with, but Dabarkadz was not bad. The tocilog (tocino) was so, so good!
The best part here is the owners/​waitstaff. The woman who I assume if the wife of the owner is constantly checking on us and making sure the food is to our liking. She offers suggestions as to what to order and ensures that we have enough to drink.
My only (minor) complaint is that the restaurant itself is tiny — not much room to move around in, and gets crowded pretty quickly. Also they only accept cash, so consider yourself warned. But all worth it for the amazing food, I promise!
