New place on the block that sells again Sichuan. Unlike other Sichuan restaurants this place sure has better ventilation — I did not smell like a greasy hot pepper after eating there. Tables are bigger to accommodate many dishes that are served in pots instead of plates. And there are plenty of outdoor seating for smokers and large groups. 口水雞 was very tasty and spicy, given that it’s been altered to suit local taste. Chicken was cooked just right and the sauce was slightly tangy and sweet. 水煮魚 was more authentic than the chicken, half a fish cut up into chuck with skin and bone and all, and were completely submerged in the hot chili broth. The«1000 year-old eggs» was not bad at all, even though it has the same sauce as the chicken, it did its job as an appetizer. It’s sure worth a second visit, and they open till 1am(it says 2am on the menu so not sure which is true) so for anyone who crave spicy food at midnight this is it.
