We went for a drive to Tai Po looking for a new place to try. This place is across from the water sports centre along a small road with various restaurants. We stopped in front and a waitress passed us the menu. Looked good so she moved some cones and voila, a car park space!
The menu is a mix of Indian, Italian and western fare (steaks and ribs). I am a bit concerned about fusion cuisine as my past experience is nothing is done well.
We split a green papaya salad (great and a meal in itself) and both had pasta dishes. Mine was linguine with marinara sauce and my wife’s was homemade mushroom ravioli. Both entrees were good. We finished off the meal with homemade ricotta cheesecake: light and delicious.
Great food and great service. The waiter told us the boss is the chef and worked in the industry for 17 years before opening this place.
We are keen to go back to try the Indian dishes (other customers had Indian and it looked good) and their ribs. This place will definitely be one of our regular spots.
