I’ve always wanted to get a tailored suit. Since I was in Hong Kong on vacation, I figured this would be a great opportunity to get one. It was pretty easy to get to their location from the MTR. I took the red line and got off at Tsim Sha Tsui Station and took the P2 exit. Their location is only a block up from that exit.
When I got there, I was greeted by a friendly individual named Nick. Nick showed me various suit and shirt packages based on the quality of fabric I wanted for my suit. I opted for two suits and three shirts. Once you know what you want to get, you get to go through their fabric books to select what patterns you would like for your suit and shirts. Nick provided input on what patterns and colors complemented each other.
Once I selected fabrics and patterns, another tailor came and started taking my measurements. Once all the necessary measurements were collected, they told me to come back in a few hours to try on an initial shell for my suit. This was definitely a lot faster than I was initially expecting so that was a pleasant surprise.
When I came back for my first fitting, I tried on the initial shell for my suit. It was missing a sleeve and the pants were missing buttons and a zipper, but I could definitely get a feel for how the suit would fit. After I tried it on, the tailor went through and made some adjustments using pins since I wanted a slimmer fit. After the first fitting, Nick said to come back the next day for my second fitting.
When I came back for my second fitting, all my shirts were ready so I tried those on first. They fit perfectly. I’m a pretty short guy, but my neck is kinda big, so I always have issues finding dress shirts that have the right sleeve length and the right neck size. With these tailored shirts, however, both the sleeve length and the neck size were perfect. After I tried on my shirts, I tried on one of my suits because only one of them was ready. The suit unfortunately needed a little adjustment. The pants weren’t as slim as I wanted them so the tailor came by and pinned them so they were a little tighter. Nick assured me that they would be ready for pick up the next day with all the necessary adjustments finished.
When I came back for the last time, both of my suits were ready. When I tried them on, I felt great. The pants fit perfectly and both suits had the exact same fit. Overall, I was impressed with the whole experience. It was awesome seeing my suits getting created from start to finish. Nick also made the process relatively painless. He was very accommodating and made sure that my suits and shirts were finished before I headed back to the US.

Empire is my exclusive tailor after having tried tailors in the U.S. and all over Asia. As a lawyer at an international law firm, I wear suits every day to work, and I also wear them in social settings such as weddings and dates. I have ordered many suits, blazers, trousers, and shirts from Empire, and I have been extremely happy with each. Their tailors provide great insight about which fabrics to pick and which cut to go with, but they never press me to spend more. In fact, a few times they have talked me out of buying certain items I was initially set on purchasing. I have recommended many friends to them, all of whom have been very happy, including all of the groomsmen for my buddy’s wedding — a particularly impressive feat as we were spread across six cities in three countries.

When you walk around Tsim Sha Tsui, you can pretty much find tailors on every corner. However, Empire has high quality material and does not try to upsell you (like many of the other tailors in the city). They are very transparent and honest with quality and pricing. What stood out to me most was their quality of service. I had my measurements taken on December 23,2015 at 3:45 PM, the tailor was able to put together a mockup of the bespoke suit at 6:00 PM on the same day for my fitting. The tailor was a very knowledgeable and knew exactly what was in style now. Also as an added bonus, we were offered beverages which created a relaxing experience during my fitting. I’ve been to other tailors before and always felt rushed, but I was able to walk around the store and look through the different suit and shirt fabrics at my own pace. On top of this all, I will be picking up my suit on December 26, 2015 at 5:00 PM. Even with the Christmas holiday, I’m having two suits and three custom shirts made with a turnaround time of three days. Anthony was very accommodating. The quality of service cannot be matched. If you decide to come in for a bespoke suit, I recommend coming in prepared and knowing what you want as the tailor team can accommodate to every detail of your suit. Make sure you do some research on the suit style and don’t hesitate to come in with example pictures. The Empire team will provide you with recommendations, but at the end of the day, you want to make sure you walk out with exactly what you want. Bottom line, I would recommend Empire International Tailor to my family and friends.

Ever since I saw the Spectre (James Bond movie) I wanted the 3-​piece suit that Daniel Craig wore in the movie. Now know this, I’ve previously been to two other tailors in my past visits to HK and I can honestly say that the bespoke suits at Empire are definitely of higher quality. This time around, I had 2 slim-​fit suits made, and both fit amazingly well — even much better than the Hugo Boss slim fit suit that I brought (I even had Empire adjust the Boss suit to match the new bespoke suits).If you’re ever in HK and need something custom made to your liking, definitely hit up Empires.

The people at Empire could not have been more attentive or professional. They listened to my needs and were able to expedite my order as I was only in Hong Kong for a short time. There were no issues with my order and I only required one fitting. This was no non-​sense tailoring. They exceeded my expectations while taking my shortened time frame into consideration. Excellent experience working with Andy and Anthony to create my first bespoke suit while visiting Hong Kong. They worked within my time constraints and delivered a beautiful suit after two fittings. The entire experience took place over just 48 hrs. I always wear out my suit pants much earlier than the coat. I appreciate that Andy created a package for me with two pairs of pants. I come to HK four to six times a year and whenever I always try to make time to head to Empire International Tailors to make custom shirts for my fiancé! I am not exaggerating when I say he must own fifty shirts from them! They fit perfectly and use easy care fabrics that make them easy to wash and require minimal ironing! With so many tailors in HK, it’s hard to know what you are going to get but I’m telling you… go to Empire International Tailors! They will take care of you!

This place was recommended by multiple friends who’ve all gotten custom suits made. As soon as we arrived, I was immediately greeted with professional staff. You could tell they have years of experience in the business. I had some specific items in mind that I wanted to order and they walked me through all my options. It was really easy to tell them what I wanted as far as colors, styles, etc. I had a short time in Hong Kong but somehow they still managed to squeeze me in for a 2^nd and final fitting and have 2 suits and 3 shirts done in a 5 day span. How they were able to do such professional work in such a short amount of time, I’ll never know, but the fit and finish of my suits and shirts are incredible. Their service is also very prompt and their employees are very courteous. The best part about Empire is they’ll keep your measurements and you can call them and order without having to get re-​fitted. I don’t think I’ll ever buy another off-​the-​rack suit again.

I searched for a while to find the right tailor for my needs. Anthony was able to accommodate exactly that; extremely quick turn around, very specific coat specifications and mailing instructions for follow on orders. I purchased a light grey summer Sans-​a-​belt suit with a shirt. The fit is exactly what I asked for. The process was seamless and professional. I will use Empire again in the future. Thanks!

Thank you to Nick and his team for an outstanding experience! This was our first visit to Hong Kong and we were interested in getting some custom tailored clothes. I wanted to get some custom shirts, but I was very wary of all of the random fly-​by-​night tailors in Hong Kong. After a little research, I decided to give Empire a try. I went to get three shirts made. They gave me books with hundreds of fabric choices, but they all were separated into shirts that were HK$ 399 or HK$ 799. (about $ 50 and $ 100 USD). I wanted fabrics that were white with some thin/​light patterns in them. I was surprised at how few fabrics that were available that met that criteria. Thankfully, I found three and they were all in the HK$ 399 price point. I felt that HK$ 699 was just too much for something I wasn’t confident in.
Anyhow, the measuring and tailoring process went really well. They had the shirts ready for me in three days and they all look and fit fantastic. The fabric is a little thin, but I guess that’s just a product of the cheaper price point.
