Green Land Restaurant

I grew up in Tuen Mun and my high school was located in On Ting, so you would expect that during lunch hour I was one of those high school kids scrambled trying to find a place to have a quick lunch. Back then before all those renovation, there were two restaurants my friends and I always went. One of them was called Green Land Restaurant. Knowing that this place has moved out of the shopping mall got me really curious if it has changed a lot. I went there yesterday to check this out.
Of course they still have special set lunch for students, given that I have graduated, I guess that is off limit. Surprisingly one of the staff recognized me (I guess I have a rather exceptional look then haha). The menu does not change much but this new location certainly is much better with the sanitary situation and stuff. As for the food, I always love its Chinese noodles not only because it is affordable for students but they have a wide range of food you can choose from. One thing did not change is definitely the MSG, I understand this is not healthy and make people super thirsty afterwards but I certainly miss that.
I think I spent at least 3 to 4 years of my teen years at this restaurant. There isn’t anything exceptional here but it is the nostalgia that got me back here. I am sure lots of people who live nearby would agree with me.
