This place ticks all the boxes for me: — Awesome coffee(I’ve been to Italy and Australia so I can be picky, and know that starbucks coffee sucks if you have options. Speaking of Australia, this place also does flat whites for the expats who are a bit homesick) — Free wifi(and some power inside) — Nice and quiet spot to work for an hour or two(You could probably stay there all day if you wanted, as long as you kept your food/drink purchases consistent or just take up a table outside if you have a laptop with a good battery life) — Outdoor seating is nice when the weather is good — Close to Central and the escalators

Someone recommended that we check this place out so we ventured over for some coffee and pastries. I order an espresso and a cappuccino. Nothing amazing, but both were good. The pastries were good, they tasted very fresh. What gets this spot a 4 star is the space. They have a great coffee bar set up, a wall dedicated to coffee gear, and an awesome outdoor seating area. This is a perfect place to grab a cup of coffee and get some work done, meet up with friends, or just kick back and catch up on some reading.

What a cool find walking up Peel Street this afternoon! I was in the mood for a cup of coffee and stumbled upon this specialty coffee store selling everything you could possibly need for your home’s(or café/restaurant’s) coffee brewing needs — from replacement parts for espresso machines, to 1 kg bags of espresso beans. This is also the place to buy your french presses; nice, thick, appropriately sized coffee cups and saucers; and Chemex coffee makers. I ordered a cappuccino, and it was beautifully presented, the perfect«Goldilocks» temperature, and served in one of the same wonderfully thick and beautifully simple cup/saucer sets that they sell in the shop. The outdoor area is a nice place to chill and enjoy your cup of joe while reading the paper or browsing around on your smartphone. I’m looking forward to visiting this shop again next time I’m in the mood for a cup of coffee and am in the Soho area.

It is certainly my new go-to café for working space. Not like it’s super convenient to general public(nowhere close to MTR stations), but for those who live/work in mid-levels and Soho, its location is just as good as any other shops. Well, arguably it’s better to be just an the edge of Soho like H&H so it’s not crowded. And to be fair, I’m surprised by the(few) number of people choose to have a coffee here and work. Weekends are reasonably busy, but weekdays are fairly emptied. Of course I’m not complaining. =) The best bet is their income rely more on selling coffee machines and other accessories. For the hour I stayed there(2pm — 3pm), there are at least half a dozen people came here for shopping. Now the coffee is smooth and rich in favour, probably one of the best I can get in Soho. More importantly is the consistency, where I get exactly the same good quality every time I am here. I’ll sit down and get my laptop opened, connect to the free wifi, enjoy some coffee and call it an afternoon. Unfortunately they don’t have a kitchen here so the best food you can get is a scone. All in all, I always feel good spending my time here. In quieter time where no customers around, the staff like to chitchat a bit, not in a way that will disturb your work, but the little chuckles in shops keep you warm and feel surrounded by nice people.
