Hoi King Heen is located at Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hotel on 2/F and awarded Michelin 1-star for consecutive years. The décor and setting are decent, the staffs are friendly. We came here for lunch and found the dim sim menu selection pretty good! The manger suggested their signatures dim sims and it’s great to us. Bake BBQ pork buns — I rarely order and eat fatty meat dish or dim sim. But, BBQ pork buns were fresh and not too fatty or greasy. It got perfect ratio of meat and fat for filling, so delicious. Steamed shrimp dumplings — It’s so called premium har gau! The shrimps were plump and firm, it fairly bursting out of their translucent wrapper. Steamed crab meat dumplings — the crab meat was certainly fresh but dumpling was a little bit bland Roasted pork belly rice rolls — the roast pork belly was tender and juicy. It was good but not great. Peanut and chicken glutinous rice dumplings — I really missed this dim sim. It’s good enough to recall my childhood memory… Taro soup — It’s tasty and perfectly sweet as dessert. Although the price a bit pricey, but, it’s worth for service and quality of dim sim.

We had our Valentine’s Day Peking Duck dinner here. Classy restaurant, attentive service. The only thing missing is a view. It is a shame the restaurants at the International Grand Stanford Hotel are relinquished to the basement. As for the food, all we ordered was the duck. It is served 2 ways: the skin and outer meat are cut table side and presented for eating in the usual wrappers, though they do not wrap them for you, which I did not like. I prefer they wrap for me, given my apparent lack of skill doing so lol. Plus, I like that level of service. The inner meat is then taken back to the kitchen, diced up and mixed with your choice of 3 veggie/sauce mixes. This I liked very much. I thought it was a great use of the meat and offered some variety in an otherwise 1 course meal. plus, given it was only 2 of us, there was plenty left over, which I ate the next morning at the airport… who knew duck was so good for breakfast. We may have ordered dessert… I know we had tea. I don’t recall whether we had dessert with our tea… I think not, but if so, I guess it was not memorable. In any event, this is a quality establishment worthy of the awards presented so elegantly in the entrance.

Very pretty restaurant located in the Intercontinental Stafford in Hong Kong and very good service. Very good food. We tried the lunch price fix menu and it was very good.
