a hk bakery that opens early for a westerner like me still sleeping in California time. we are at the cordis langham for the week and this bakery is less than 5 minute walk away. their bread is very very fresh! the pineapple bun is super soft in the middle and lightly sweet and crunchy on top. I love it! I also had their curry beef buns, very very fresh and yummy and their angel sponge cake. also ate their hot dog bun straight out of the oven. wow, I was in heaven! maybe it’s because I arrived at 7am, right when they open, and received everything fresh and hot, but you can’t miss this bakery if you are ever in mongkok district!

I really like this bakery chain compared to other bakery chains. All the pastries are baked on premise compared to some others (St Hon.) where they are mass produced in some warehouse. They even have a sign telling you if the buns are fresh and hot, out of the oven. My favorite bun is the pineapple bun with the butter in the middle. I don’t eat it everyday, but when I do, heaven. Their Hong Kong milk tea also has good strong flavor.
