Hong Kong Country Club

Find a member of the club and have them host you to the Sunday Brunch! The most spectacular spread I’ve ever seen. Worldclass cuisine from almost every part of the planet. Rows of salad, hot dishes, made to order grilled Mets and poultry, deserts, and a full bar menu, it’s fabulous! If you thought Las Vegas has the finest buffets, the Hong Kong Country Club is over the top!

This review is only about one thing: fish & chips.
Visited with a friend and tried the cod — it is cooked just perfectly. Best fish & chips I’ve had in HK since The Chippy’s original owner sold his shop!

Members only club. Great place if you have a friend who is a member to take you.
Aside from the amenities (pool, bowling alley, tennis courts, etc) they have a number of restaurants.
Chinese restaurant:
Dress code — no shorts or sandals or pool/​beach attire.
Has a wide selection of Hong Kong and Chinese dishes. Some famous dishes include their sweet & sour pork. They also have excellent hairy/​Shanghai crabs (subject to season). You really can’t go wrong with the choices here and the staff are ready to help.
The Deck: looking right over the bay, the menu is a basic grill menu. However they do have a big mosquito issue so be prepared with your spray!
The Patio: overlooking the lawn, this combines menus from most of their outlets so is a great way to sample a huge range of food items in a group. The Palak Paneer was rather disappointing and the Nan bread, tandoori & masala was passable. Our Indian food fest wasn’t as great as we had had before. Service was also rather inattentive & could be because we were there late on a weeknight.
Again, be mindful of mozzies!
Getting to/​from HKCC is only achieved really by taxi. There are some buses that run near by, but give yourself plenty of time if you are talking a bus!

I haven’t had the chance to visit the country club since I was a little girl. Last Wednesday I had the good fortune of revisiting place and for a very joyous occasion. A wedding!
The country club is a exclusive members only club near ocean park and Aberdeen marina club. Though they are not as big and facilitated as Aberdeen marina club, it is a quaint nice club for events such as weddings, birthdays etc.
I attended the sweetest wedding on a Wednesday night here at their main ballroom which was able to hold about 15 tables. There was a small dance floor and a very good band that played jazz music. The waiters and staff were extremely friendly and on point when it came to service.
We had a buffet style dinner for the wedding. Must say it was my first time having buffet at a wedding. The food was extremely well done. There was prime rib, lamb; Chinese options, great appetisers, oysters and salmon plate. Very enjoyable and all catered by the country club. I must say the food was quite impressive.
