When you see the Grandma here, you know tofu must be very healthy. Grandma looks like at least 80, and is still on the floor serving customer the tofu-fa. Although she has younger helpers to help with heavy chores, she is still standing at the counter quite often, and running in and out for stuff. (I once even saw her jumped down from the stairs ^___^)
Okay, as for tofu-fa, this has been one of my favourite dessert all the time. I guess what makes this place so famous is that there are lesser places providing tofu-fa, and the Grandma here. And the cold tofu-fa is really chilled, great stop by along the way to the beach in the summer.

It’s a tofu fa (豆腐花) place raved by many but I didn’t find it very special. The tofu fa here is not particularly silky and the soy bean flavor is not prominent… It’s a good stop to break the hike but I have been very spoiled by my neighborhood tofu fa place that were outrageously good.

Many people who visit Lamma Island make the hike across the island following the walkway between Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan. Along the way, aside from the small villages, outlooks, and beaches, you’ll find this supposedly famous dining area. They specialize in the tofu dessert (豆腐花), which you can get hot or cold. You can add all the syrup you want to make it taste sweeter. While this place makes a nice stop along your hike, it’s certainly not anything super special. Chances are you’ll find decent tofu fa in the city itself that is at least as good as what you can get here.

Nice stop along the llama island family walk trail. Hot and cold tofu fa (silken tofu with syrupy sweet sauce on top). No frills dessert spot.
