King of Coconut

The King of Coconut lives up to its name. Located on a block full of street vendors, it’s the perfect drink to quench your thirst.
The drink is blended with fresh coconut juice and ice and the end result is an almost slushy like beverage. It’s pairs really well with the street food around here. I enjoyed it a lot with some curry fish balls.

I’m crazy for Coconut?!? Ok, I get it, coconut is not something you usually crave for, but this stall creates the best coconut condensed milk concoction on the planet. It’s refreshing, milky, oh so smooth at the same time. For those, lactose intolerant, which afflict so many of my Asian brothers and sisters, this shake uses no Dairy products.
For maximum satisfaction, best to get the coconut in a bottle, especially if you plan to walk around the sweaty, hot, jam packed streets of Mong Kok. A must try! I hear the owner is a local legend

Yum! I don’t venture into MK much but when I do, this is a must stop. This coconut milk is really unique and fresh, perfect for those hot humid days. You get to watch your order being made fresh (coconut flesh, evaporated milk, etc) right in front of your eyes.
The man who runs the shop is so kind! One time he gave me too much change ($ 10 HKD) and I went back to return it to him but he would not accept it. He was so nice about it and kept thanking me for coming by. So I came back and ordered another drink and tipped him additional, which he tried to refuse but I insisted. Where else would you find someone in MK like this?
The line is long but moves quickly, it is definitely worth it!!!

By far one of my favorite drinks in hong kong. They have a few places in Hong Kong but I have only been to the one in Sam Shui Po and Mong Kok. The one in SSP is 2 HKD cheaper for the bottle. Not a lot but eh… This is a must go to place when I come here.

This was absolutely delicious and definitely worth a special stop. Service was really quick and it took all the self-​control I could muster to stop myself from going back for more!

Holy crap, I think I just found the holy grail of drinks. I didn’t think I was a coconut fan but the sweet, fresh, and silky smooth coconut drinks here are better than bubble tea! They come in 3 sizes (small cup, large cup, large bottle) and I’m done with the large before I’m even off the same street block. It’s just a stall next to a bunch of other stalls (like Gong Cha) on a busy street in Mongkok so keep an eye out or you’ll miss it.

I was skeptic from ordering coconut milk from a random stand in the streets but considering that my cousin lived there I trusted her.
It was my first time in Hong Kong and she told me that King of Coconut is famous for their coconut milk and they are well known with long lines but they move pretty quick from when I waited. I can’t imagine how long they are in the summer time!
Considering it was only a few HKD more for a bottle version of the drink, it was so worth it! I’m so glad that I got the biggest size. I chugged the whole bottle before we made it to the next food stand that was at the corner from this one. This was the sugar kick that I needed since the states had sugar in nearly everything compared to Hong Kong. The taste of sugar tasted so naturally milky and sweet.
I highly recommend coming here if you’re in the Mongkok area. Make sure you have cash! Great for sharing if you can help not drinking all of it before the next person takes a swig of it haha. If I lived there, my fridge would be fully stocked with just this to drink.
Writing this review makes me miss the drink so much :(

I’ve been having dreams of this coconut milk because it was THAT good!
I had read about King of Coconut prior to my trip to Hong Kong, but didn’t make a point to find it as our time in Hong Kong was limited. Lucky for us, we happened to just stumble upon the stand and jumped for joy!
I ordered a bottle of coconut milk for around $ 26 HKD and it was delicious and refreshing. I love anything coconut so this was definitely for me. The milk was coconutty, milky, creamy, sweet, icy, and best of all — made to order. Pair it with curry fishballs a couple stalls down and you’re good to go. The downside is that it probably had a lot of sugar but I don’t live in Hong Kong and can’t get this stuff all the time. Definitely going back next time.

The best beverage I’ve ever had, anywhere in the world! This is a delicious shake/​smoothy made from coconut flesh, coconut milk, and coconut water mixed with evaporated milk and sugar and blended. All the coconut components are come from coconuts they hack open right in front of you. Drinking these is one of the fondest memories I have from a summer living in Hong Kong. I desperately wish an outpost would open up in Canada.

Being an islander, I really, really enjoy coconut juice. So much so, that I carry a machete around for whenever I get a craving to just cut one open (since they do not sell them in the markets where I live).
This is not coconut juice, more like coconut milk. I was quite unsure of what to expect but, I just had to order it since I knew I would regret and wonder what would have been had I not.
Located currently next to Paisano’s Pizzeria, this quaint little stall offers great flavor.
I liken it to an assam milk tea but, with coconut juice and little bits of coco meat.

I must admit that I’m addicted to this stand. I’ve been known to buy 5 drinks a day at the most and 2 at the least EVERY time I’m in Hong Kong.
The coconut drink is milky with a strong coconut flavor and small chunks of coconut.
I always get the large since there are two sizes, small and large.
Man, this coconut drink is sexy, and I’m totally devoted to her!!!

I love coconut so when I saw this stand, I just had to try it. One of my sisters friends actually had recommend it to her and said it was the real deal. Tried it one night after a long day of walking and it was refreshing. I wanted another one but I was already so full from eating. Wish I was in HK now… would totally drink two.

Holy moly coconutty, you guys. This drink is fantastic. I don’t even like sweet things normally, but I was quite parched after a long day of shopping and happened to walk by King of Coconut. Thirsty as hell, I ordered a large. After my first sip I literally said out loud, «Ohhhh, my god!» I slurped half of it down and thought about buying a bottle to take home with me, but I was already carrying about 10 shopping bags (Damn you, Mong Kok and your sweet, sweet deals!). I will be back, King of Coconut! YUM!

This coconut drink is something I’ll never miss whenever I’m in Hong Kong. It is blended with coconut and evaporated milk. Very rich and smooth. $ 14 for small, $ 19 for large and $ 23 for bottle. You can add red bean with a few dollars extra. For me… I just like the drink without red bean and for size… Go for large … You will regret for ordering small after the first sip!

Fresh blended coconut drink– you watch them hack up fresh coconuts in the back corner, they blend the results with evaporated milk and maybe a few other things, and it ends up refreshing, sweet, and delicious.
I don’t even like coconut, and yet this place makes it damned good.

this is the place you need to be if you love coconut. King of Coconut makes one of the best coconut milk drink I’ve ever had. Till this day i’m still craving for it. I have yet to find a place like this in Los Angeles (and I need to come to realization that it doesn’t exists here — sadness).
they use fresh coconut and milk and blends it. Whatever the recipe is, it is delicious. that strong coconut flavor with that milky blend texture — YUM! AND it is so affordable; it’s not expensive at all!
Perfect to drink in the summer because of the humidity and the hot temperature — it is very refreshing.
I believe there’s more than one location of King Of Coconut. there’s another one near Prince Edward /​Fa Yuen Street area, I think

As a non-​coconut lover, I must say this place is good.
Imagine an American Smoothie from Jamba Juice crossed with no fruits but coconut. That’s basically what this is. A coconutty refreshing drink that hits the spot when it’s hot (or cold) outside.

Being an American, I tipped the guy and he was very happy. This tip must have left a great impression since the next time I went, he recognized me and up-​sized me for free.
Do I wish this place was states-​side? yes. Would I go every day? Probably not.
