The Chinese counterpart to Caprice, Lung King Heen is the Four Seasons’ second Michelin starred restaurant. Although I have to say that I preferred Caprice, this comparison is unfair as it is like comparing apples to oranges(or dumplings to foie gras in this case). Lung King Hee is best enjoyed with a large group of people so you can try a vast selection of things. Be warned that the servers will only bring the next course once the previous course is completely finished so it’s a very slow process. We actually asked them to bring out more than one course at a time as the dinner was stretching on far too long and we were a bunch of jet lagged an impatient Americans. I would recommend the Peking duck — a must whenever in Hong Kong, and the seared piglet. Although I am a huge Winnie the Pooh fan, I have so say that the piglet was beyond delicious; perfectly crispy on the outside but soft and tender on the inside. I was fortunate to be with a few locals so they did the ordering and I did the eating — it worked out very well. The level of service was truly top notch and not a detail went unnoticed. The view from the restaurant is amazing and it’s a great place to watch the nightly laser show at the harbor if you time it correctly.

During my recent trip to HK, I had high hopes of trying some fancy dim sum at Lung King Heen. However, the reservation process left a very bitter taste in my mouth. In my initial email, I told them I wanted a reservation on a weekday, for a group of six, four adults and two kids, and I require a high chair. They wrote back saying that my requested time was available, and asked me for the age of my kids. After that was provided, suddenly my requested time was no longer available but I can come in on the weekend. I wanted to avoid the busy crowd on the weekend but reluctantly accepted their new time. Next they wanted a credit card to secure this reservation, because in case I don’t show up, they will charge me $ 800HKD per guest. While I don’t know how much lunch would really cost here, $ 4,800HKD seems a bit excessive. Before I even had a chance to respond(less than 24 hours), I got another email saying they are now cancelling my reservation because I didn’t give them my credit card. I was pretty irritated at this point and decided to just pass… I wish all of this information was provided in the initial email as opposed to me finding out new bits each time. It’s like they decided to add rules as they please. Not sure if I would bother to try again next time I’m in HK. But no matter how delicious the food might’ve been, the service was definitely not up to par.

Probably some of the best Cantonese food from a nice sit down restaurant you are ever going to eat. If you don’t know already it has three michellin stars which is pretty crazy. The menu is huge, nearly a whole page for appetizers, a page of soups, a page of birds nest, two pages of speciality items and beef, two pages of seafood, and a page of poultry, plus one more for desserts. They also have a number of set menus some with wine parings and a few things that require advance ordering like Peking duck(6 hours advance notice). Its easy to be overwhelmed and just go with a set menu but its great to build your own. The waiter will help guide you to build a good collection of plates but you literally can’t go wrong.

Unfortunately I don’t remember how good the food were as at that time I was completely focused on talking to my old friends.(Don’t do that. Should probably focus on the food.) But judging from the fact that I wasn’t outraged by the expensive bill, the food was probably good(how is this an informative review for anyone??).

A quick drink at the blue bar before heading up to Lung King Heen… A lucky free 9course degustation(sounds weird … maybe a mini banquet is more appropriate) bottle of excellent Spanish Pintia, deep flavor and body… Food was excellent and service was, in my view, much better than Caprice, there I said it! Would I pay for this … Hell no!!! Hey but I’m bias …

This Chinese Restaurant is located in the Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong’s Financial District. It has a Michelin 3 Star Rating and we were informed by our driver that it was the«best» restaurant in Hong Kong. We had our first dinner in Hong Kong upon our arrival at the hotel at Lung King Heen restaurant. We ordered the Chef’s Cantonese Menu. The food was extremely disappointing; it was too rich and heavy with extreme flavours that were not well balanced. It was not a good experience. However, we returned to this restaurant at the end of our trip and ordered several items off the main menu to enjoy with a bottle of Prager, including Garlic Prawns, Waygu Beef, Crispy Pork Noodles, Garlic Broccoli and a Chicken dish, and every entry was delicious. This experience taught us that the Chef’s Tasting Menu is not always representative of the primary dishes a restaurant serves, and in our case it was not nearly as good as the main menu items. Highly recommended.

Not sure why this is 3 Michelin stars, let alone a Unilocal one. There’s better Cantonese food out there, it’s Hong Kong, for God’s sake. Fairly ordinary, if anything overly-salty, which might suit all of the Chinese billionaires who basically live here at the HK Four Seasons(to avoid prosecution in the PRC). No Cantonese spoken around us, which is telling, ie no locals. Yeah, the view is nice(get a drink in the lobby if you want that) and the service is good(standard at most hotel restaurants in HK), but doesn’t cover up the mediocre food that locals obviously don’t dig.

This place really is costly, with that being said, we started with bird nest soup. Had the consistency of a thick hot and sour soup without the either. It came in a moat of crab pieces and I could taste a little grainy texture with glutinous mound in the center. So, it’s my first time trying it, wasn’t impressed. Had steamed chicken and some fried rice, once again nothing stood out. Ordered some beef bits with shallots and the fish. Ok, the beef was tasty and the fish was soft, bones had been completely removed(good), overall those were very good. The fish was tiny in portions, ordered two of those. Seemed to be a lot of busy work by the staff, removing the center piece after we sat was confusing, constantly re-aligning the silverware was also odd.

Very posh dim sum restaurant, this is a 5 star food presentation and service. They use quality ingredients for their dishes and served with fine silvers. This is a place to impress your out of town western guests or an important business meal. Each dishes are well crafted with distinct signature presentation. By the way, it is also pricy.

We wanted to try the dim sum here as well as we heard it was 3 star michelin and had very good dim sum. I cannot speak on the rest of the food as we came here for brunch, but it was good. Service was on point too and probably lends to its rating but man after having dim sum at Tin Lung Heen, I dont think my taste buds will ever be the same. Not hating on this place at all because it is really good. The dim sum comes out perfect and looks more«traditional» than TLH, but like I said, nothing was the same.

My first Chinese meal when I finished and exited without smelling of Chinese food. The view is stupendous. The service impeccable. Our five course chef selection dim sum lunch was served by an impeccably dressed team that was efficient and discerning. Honestly, I’d like to have one of those waiter’s uniforms. We had dumplings, soup, an assortment of meats, noodles… it just kept on coming. Finished off with warm red bean soup dessert, cookies, and red bean pudding and I’m puffed. Hooboy… job well done!

While us regular folks have Tim Ho Wan, Lung King Heen is how the other half(RICH) lives. And what a ballin’ life it is. On a weekday, the clientele at this 3 Michelin star place was mostly business folks and tai tais. I felt out of place but as they say, fake it till you make it. LKH is super duper fancy. The location and harbour views get top marks. We decided to do a la carte instead of the executive lunch set. I can’t remember all the things we ordered but I had no idea dim sum can look so… pretty, for lack of a better word. The service is like the food — over the top but excellent. Also, I had the best jasmine tea money can buy. Overall, if you have money to spare, go ahead and treat yourself. But if you just want some good olé dim sum, let’s be real. There are PLENTY of places in HK that will cost you infinitely less $$$$$.

The only reason I was fortunate enough to eat here was because my family-friends happened to book a reservation for this restaurant four months ago. and it happened to be exactly on the week I landed. And I am so glad I did get to eat here. It was such a wonderful opportune dining experience. This marks my first fancy dim sum experience in Hong Kong and in general. Unlike the local dim sum restaurants in HK, Lung King Heen is very top-tier, high-class, and clearly for richer, more sophisticated people than me. I can see why it earned its Michelin star. Food is very clean and fresh. I tried the Lobster Rice Roll for the first time and wow. I’ve only tried the shrimp version but lobster is so delicious. Waiters are also very polite and accommodating. View overlooking Central piers and the harbor is also very nice. I think the beauty of this place is its simplicity and austerity. The one color to describe would be cream. The atmosphere is very quiet and quite representative of what you would think of when you hear the words«high tea». Lovely displays of desserts on small plates, the sauces come in a fancy ceramic set, and tea is served in a fancy kettle. I felt like I should have worn a nice little hat, a flowery dress, and drunk my tea with my pinkies up. Definitely recommend coming here if you have the time… and money! Book at least 3 – 4 months in advance if you know you are coming to Hong Kong. It is worth the experience :-)

Hong Kong at its best. Amazing food, superb view, and three waiters /waitresses for our table of two. This is way upmarket and it deserves 3 Michelin stars and five Unilocal ones.

high end michelin chinese food with an amazing view in one of the best hotels. tim ho wan especially was born out of here. this was awhile ago now, and at the time, we ordered various dishes instead of set course and had the opportunity to sample a lot of dim sum and their roast chicken, wagyu beef, etc. was delicious and expensive. some of the prettiest looking dim sum too with lots of color.
