This is the second time I’ve been here, and both times I left feeling like MangoChaCha would fulfill a sweet craving but it’s not something I would crave.
This time, I had the mango shaved ice with mangos and mango ice cream, mango napoleon, and mango tea. The shaved ice could have had a stronger mango flavor and I found it random to have pieces of marshmallows in it. The mango napoleon had flaky layers, but again, lacked a strong mango flavor. The mango tea did have a strong mango flavor but it wasn’t sweet. Maybe it’s because they think customers would want an unsweetened tea since the desserts are already sweet.
There are some redeeming factors though. The servers are nice and tentative. You can also sit here for a long time and nobody will rush you. It’s not like the big chains, such as Chung Kee or Honeymoon, that will instantly clear your plates in hope that you’ll leave ASAP.

I’m actually not a fan of shaved ice, so when I came here, I did so to cool down from the heat, and not necessarily for the dessert itself.
This place really wowed me, and I think our USA shaved ice back home can take some pointers from this place.
They are supposed to be from Taiwan, and the way they do their shaved ice puts the Californian shaved ice to shame.
It’s like they shaved a cloud. The shaved ice here literally dissolves in your mouth. None of that clumpy or clumsy shaved ice that I’ve had back home in the USA.
The flavors weren’t overly sweet, and it really was melt in your mouth perfection.
The mango was sweet and ripe, and nicely arranged on top of the dessert.
Be prepared to pay more here for shaved ice than other places in HK, but it’s worth it.
One of the best desserts I’ve had in HK.

they are going to charge me extra $ 2 to get a cup so I can take the rest of the tea home… after I spent fucking $ 74 every time I go there, that’s just BAD business and I am going to tell everybody NOT to go there!
