Obviously a restaurant serving contemporary Vietnamese and Singaporean food — Minh & Kok. Prawn salsa, must try item; soup is super, please ask the server for mix noodles, it tastes even better. Pork neck serves in two styles — charcoal grill and skewer, GOOD! The crispy tofu is nice too. Certainly a good place for meal. Reservation is required.

T1 was acting up and I had to find a place to look for cover. I just came out if a wedding ceremony and was wearing a white chiffon top so I wasn’t stay in the drizzling rain. I’d scare the town off with my hideous look if I get soaked!
Am always one for Vietnamese, I picked Minh and Kok.
Run by Simply Life (aka Maxims) this place is decked out in stylish white and blue tiles. My quick snack was the almighty Pad Thai (Thai?) and a honey dew beer. A great place to chill out and relax near Paterson Street.

Minh & Kok, owned by the same group as SimplyLife (it evens says on the menu, a SimplyLife restaurant) and located directly across it, is a fusion of Southeast Asian cuisine (Viet & Thai). Its located in a nice and convenient area of food street and generally not as busy as its brother across.
Usually, Minh & Kok isn’t a place you take a trip to try. The food apart from couple of dishes are just average. I do like the sauté chicken skewers, the phở and the spicy tomato soup. However its a place you come to for a quick bite, reliably taste and nice outdoor seating area. Its great if you love to people watch, grab a smoke and drink some ice coffee or simply curing a hangover.
The interior seems a bit dark and stuffy for my taste and i’ve always sat outside for the view.
Service can be good or bad depending on the time and who’s working there. I’ve had super fast and friendly services but at other times, it was slow and unresponsive.
Prices are average about 70 – 80 for main dishes.
Come here for a quick bite or to enjoy the outdoor seating, you wont remember the taste of the food anyway.

Regular taste of the Maxim’s group to be honest. The outdoor seats along fashion walk is nice for hanging out though.
One reminder is to be careful of their food description, it might be misleading sometimes and leads you on to think the food is more than it actually is… :p
