Great food. .loved prawns, abalone, and Hong kong fried noodles with scallops. Pricey, service good, reminded me of Europe, they charge for everything they put on the table, ordered or not. Overall worthy. Definitely not a good value, but nice experience. After dinner, good view for light show… if you can tolerate the smokers.

Great views, good food & pretty pricy but worth it. But the service & noise level was not great. The food arrived out of order — appetizer in the middle, vegetables in the beginning — plus we had to ask for water 3 times. The place has a process problem. The noise level(loud) was not befitting a place like this. Maybe it was because it was Friday night. I may come back. But perhaps a week night when it’s not so noisy and the staff can keep up & deliver the food I the right order.

Good service, good food, good view. I love this place since I can go shopping afterwards in Harbour City. Variety of Chinese food you can choose from or even the set lunches are great! Remember to order their siu mai cause that’s my favorite dim sum haha.

Eyebar is right next to Nanhai No. 1 and thankfully they had happy hour when we came. The view is gorgeous and while my boyfriend’s Jack and Coke lacked alcohol, for some reason, my extremely girly passionfruit mango cocktail was stronger. They gave us a dish of peanuts roasted with Schezuan peppercorns and peppers, so it was extra delicious if you like that sort of stuff like I do. The outside is a smoke-friendly zone, so it was a bit difficult to stay there for too long. You also needed to spend a minimum on drinks to be seated outside, so it’s ideal for larger groups. We were able to pop out, however, and take some in the beautiful sunset across the water. More of a 3.5 Star place for me as we hopped to the Ritz-Carlton later and that was BOSS.

Recommended by the concierge at The Peninsula. That bastard. Good food but overpriced and some tables even have a minimum spend which can be a bit unreasonable if you’re in a party of two. We came pretty late at night and the staff just got tired of us trying to order enough food so let it slide. Oh! I grabbed a drink at the bar while waiting for my table and was mysteriously charged for the«complimentary» peanuts that the bartender set in front of me. This place is just too much.

Great view of the HK island if you seated by the window side. Very nice menu, good personal service. Service staff has good product knowledge and service with a smile! Nice wine list. Like their overall food presentations. Food is tasty but not overwhelming, portion size fair. Good place to have business meal to entertain clients or special celebration with friends and family.

We had an early reservation, when we arrived(10 minutes before) they told us we couldn’t sit at your table so we went out to the deck. When we sat there they said we couldn’t sit there without ordering a drink. This place is not so friendly! However, once we got our table we ordered their«early diner» set meal, the food came out quickly, was very good, and the service was attentive. Then we were ushered out because early diners can;t stay past 7:45.

Pretty fancy. But not cheap. We got the whole steamed fish in sauce plus other eats. Couldn’t complain. This is where trendy HK people nosh. Great place to get a cocktail and watch the laser show across the HK harbor.

Not impressed. Informed them I had a nut allergy. Still had to pay some silly charge. No type of accommodation whatsoever. There goes your tip… not sorry for saying that & being direct. Verbalized in a crystal clear manner. Not the worst spot, but definitely not the best. Meh.

This review is for Eyebar only, which is adjoined to the restaurant(i.e., it is the restaurant’s bar area). Now, if i were to rate the bar on solely the view, 5 stars, without question. Ambience was nice(mind you it was happy hour on a Tuesday night, so didn’t have to deal with crowds, which I suspect might plague this spot on the weekends). I was sadly underwhelmed by the two cocktails I selected. Overly sweet and didn’t taste as interesting as they looked in the menu descriptions. That being said, I’d still go back just for the view and simply order wine instead. Best view of Hong Kong Island, without question.

Decline in service. Its been a while since the last time i came here and decided to stop by as i was in the area. Food was up to its normal standard from what i remembered the last time i was here. Unfortunately the service level was not up to par and not as a pleasant experience. Waitstaff looking after the booth area we were seated did not appeared to be friendly and suffered from short term memory loss as they seem to forget things very quicky after we had requested something. There was a properly dressed«Westerner» who appears to work there and kept on walking back and forth in the small vacinity where we were seated, as if he was patrolling a military base. This was quite annoying. Looking after your guest is one thing, but this was a bit too much especially when there was no communication — even with the Western Guest.

We had our fancy HK meal here. The Peking duck is 5 star quality here and the best we’ve ever had anywhere. At 468HKD($ 60.39USD), it was a relative great value. I’ll always remember this place as the place to have world class Peking duck with a view of the HK skyline. Those two items are what you are paying for here. The rest of the meal and service and everything else was on the ok 3 star level, so overall 3.5 — 4 stars here because it is a pricer type place. To get a window view which we requested, there is a 500HKD($ 64.52USD) pp minimum charge. And because we needed a larger 4 person table, we were actually one table row away from the window. Anyway, we coincidentally did get to enjoy the daily 8pm HK skyline light show from our table, so the premium was still worthwhile. As far as the food, the Peking duck was by far the big star. It also needs to be ordered a day in advance. The duck meat was succulent, skin very crisp, and the slices came with just the right amount of duck fat. In addition, we ordered a pre-set dinner for four for 1480HKD($ 190.97USD). This meal consisted of: cucumber appetizer cold steam chicken appetizer chestnut soup shrimp with bean curd Chilean sea bass cabbage and fried rice mango tapioca pudding dessert The sea bass was quite good, but the rest of it average for the price. We found the servers for such a place to not be particularly good or friendly. The lady server that poured my beer let it foam over significantly, not something you expect at a higher end place like this. They also charge for every single thing you see — the shrimp chips placed on your table that you didn’t ask for, and water that you might ask for(they don’t just bring one, they bring four and charge you for the pot). There is a 10% service charge already added to bill, but they hover closely over you for additional tip pressure(and which I did not succumb to) as you are signing for the bill. Server(the final one, as they rotated in and out though the dinner) told me the 10% goes to the«company» and not the servers. For a high end place, they could learn some western culture etiquette. Overall, nice place to have experienced particularly for the Peking duck and dining view, but we won’t ever be back.

Eyebar probably has one of the most amazing view of the harbor. Definitely come to experience that. Free canapés during happy hour, 6−8pm, when we went a few months ago. Not sure if that’s still valid now.

Nanhai no. 1 provides one of the best vantage points in Kowloon to gaze at the endless skyscrapers on Hong Kong Island. When you pair this with higher end Chinese banquet style cuisine, you have winner in my book. Get the perking duck! Not only is it my favourite dish, but Nanhai no 1 prepares it especially well. The only dish I didn’t like was the chilli chicken, the chicken meat tasted funny more like tofu textured than chicken. Otherwise each dish was great though not standout-ish. Typical of most HK resturants this one is perched atop of a vertical shopping centre(iSquare). It’s a bit confusing as not all the lifts service the 30th floor. Assuming you can find your way through the shopping maze, be sure to allow for time to have a quick drink on the outdoor terrace before starting your meal. All I’d give NanHai no 1: 3.5 stars for the food and 5 stars for the view.

There are many nice bars in Tsim Sha Tsui, such as Aqua and Vibes. It’s always hard to decide where to go. However, Eye Bar has a prime location as it’s the closest to the MTR station. Sometimes when I don’t feel like walking much, I’ll just pop over Eye Bar and grab a drink. I have to say the location is pretty convenient. Adjoining Nanhai No. 1, Eye Bar has an indoor bar area and an outdoor balcony. While most people prefer enjoying the skyline through their double-height floor to ceiling windows from the inside, I prefer chilling at the balcony. Whenever there is an outdoor area, there’s no way I’m staying in, unless it’s way too hot that day. The balcony is not big but very cosy. Looking down at the city from 30/F of iSquare, you will see the stunning skyline and one of the best views over Victoria Harbour. There is no better introduction to the breathtaking Hong Kong skyline than this. I specially love their white Sangria, not very strong but more to a fruity side. Moreover, they do 2 for 1 promotion from 9pm, Monday to Thursday, what about a midweek drink?

My friends and I decided to go to Eyebar in TST to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was all of our first times there and we didn’t order any food, so I can’t discuss that. The drinks and the ambience were good and I would recommend anyone who’s looking for a nice bar to go to to check out Eyebar. One of my favorite things about Eyebar is that they only charge a cake cutting few of $ 18 per person(there was five of us in total so the total charge for it was $ 90). This was one of the reasons why we chose to come here, actually, as we were planning to bring a birthday cake up. Other bars or restaurants charge upwards of $ 100 or $ 150 as a cake cutting fee, which is quite annoying because all they’re doing is providing us with plates and utensils to cut and eat the cake. If you’re searching for a place to celebrate someone’s birthday and you intend to bring a cake, definitely consider Eyebar! We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and some beers among us. They do have a happy hour special, but unfortunately the promotions aren’t very extensive and are only limited to some wine bottles, martinis and beer. Eyebar has an outdoor terrace that overlooks the whole of TST. The view was unfortunately not great because it was quite a cloudy evening, but on a less cloudy day I can imagine that the view from the terrace would be quite stunning. We actually planned to sit outside at first but it was particularly windy that day, so we decided to just sit inside. Overall, I’d really recommend coming to Eyebar on a birthday or special occasion because the bar has a very ‘special’ feel, in that the place is quite upscale and the terrace has a great view of the city — and you can also take advantage of the cheap cake cutting fee! Note that Eyebar and Nanhai No. 1, a Chinese restaurant, share the same space. I’ve not tried the restaurant, but wouldn’t it be nice to finish up a lunch or dinner at Nanhai and then just move on down to have a drink or two?
