It is just ok. I don’t quite understand why there are so many ppl queuing for it… There is absolutely nothing special about the food. U can find it anywhere else. Doesn’t worth the queuing time at all

Although I have traveled here twice despite how far it is, it really is worth the traveling of the buses/trains. You also have to wait in line(make sure you go in and get your ticket), but it’s relatively quick since its HK and you are forced to eat with other people as long as there is an open spot. Since it’s a cantonese restaurants, they have all your typical hk style café drinks like milk tea and lemon tea. I do think that they give a relatively big amount compare to some places for their milk tea and my cousin(the one who took me here) thinks that their milk tea taste better than most places. I, however, don’t think it taste that much better but just satisfied with the amount they give me. I still don’t get why the standard HK café in LA can’t seem to make milk tea like they can. Is it the water? Then there is the plain looking butter condense milk toast. It really is so simple but I just don’t know why it taste sooo good. To the main point, «Lo Cho» is the way to go. I get the house combination where I get a bit of everything. You get a lot of beef slices, wontons, beef/fish balls, fish cake, and veggie. You get the soup on the side where I usually pour a little each time I take a full bite. All the proteins in the«Lo Cho» is great and all, but it is the noodles that really stands out from any other place. There is so much flavor to the noodles. It’s nothing like those fish ball loin mein where there is no taste in the noodles at all. It’s PACKED with flavors from the proteins to the noodles. I just can’t rave enough about how amazing it is but yet it seems like such a simple dish. The pricing is pretty sweet as well and if you get the combination, you actually get FULL. No joke, I get so full from this«Lo Cho» that even if I wanted to walk down the street to try other food, it’s pretty impossible. I’ll never forget you«Lo Cho.»

This is another place in Hong Kong with long tradition. This is the«new» shop. There is another On Lee serving almost the same food across the street which is the«old» shop. Due to a family feud they became rivals and part of the family opened the new shop. This is a typical Hong Kong fast food stall. It’s simple, tables are cramped and it’s noisy. Be prepared to share a table with people as they don’t waste even one seat. But the food is good! Here it’s all about beef brisket in all kinds of variations, fish cake, fish balls, toasts and of course noodles. It’s packed especially during lunch, be prepared to wait in line. Try the old shop to compare. Inexpensive, great value for money.

Probably the best beef noodles I’ve had in Hong Kong, with a deliciously smoky broth and delightfully chewy tendon… They close early though… And queues begin around 11am on weekends so beware!

Every time I go to Hong Kong, I make sure to visit On Lee Noodle. This place is absolutely delicious, however, there is a very long line. We(me and my mother) arrived on a weekday around noon, and had to wait approximately 40 minutes before we were seated. I think the food here is amazing and reasonably priced, but the food quality does not justify the long wait. Apparently, On Lee Noodle is on some sort of Michelin guide, which might explain why there is always a long line. However, if you show up before 11 am, you might not have to wait. The fish balls and the noodles are delicious. We ordered the fish ball/sliced fish cake/rice noodle soup, the short beef brisket/sliced fish cake/noodle soup, hot milk tea, and the butter/condensed milk toast. I loved every item that we ordered. 5 stars for the food, but if you’re in a rush, On Lee Noodle might not be a good choice. Try going at an off-peak time!

The food here is absolutely delicious! We almost come here twice a week and the price is also reasonable! Make sure you order Four Items with dry thick noodles and a glass of Hong Kong style Ice Milk Tea^^
