QRE plaza is one of the newer buildings on Queens Road East(hence the name QRE by the way) and together the other three buildings around it(ie Wu Chung House, Hopewell Building and GardenEast) they are all connected by overhead bridges to form a location known as «the East». This is a location jammed packed with restaurants and it has revitalized this location which for a long time found itself struggling to compete with Wanchai and other locations. QRE plaza itself actually has a very small footprint in terms of floorplan– the ground floor section is dominated by the Mini showroom and the rest is just lifts going upstairs. this building is almost constituted exclusively of top end restaurants and bars– BB’s Lobster and Seafood, Papi, W28, Akita and the Habitat are all tenants at the building just to name a few. One of the notable bars in this building is the Habitat Lounge which stands at the top of the building and the bar itself has gained notoriety as the bar as good views and an extensive range of drinks to choose from. That’s for another time and another review. If you really can’t think of where to eat and you have an open budget(as most of the choices here are decidedly upmarket); then coming to the QRE will not be a disappointment. Thing to note is that during lunch hour this place does get quite busy so you will be well advised to book ahead if possible.
