Resto

So many weird things about this place. The music was super loud nineties rock, which was both jarring and presumably off brand for a mostly Italian place called Resto. It’s not all Italian though, as evidenced by the close ups of other greasy-​looking meals all over the walls. The pizza was weird and the service seemed like a real after thought.

Resto is one of my go-​to places seeing as I live right next door in the Gold Coast Residences. Resto, while small, somehow is always able to accommodate me during the weekend lunch times. I tend to get pizza here — the house deluxe is my particular favorite. If you’re feeling hungry and/​or want some to take home, make sure to get a medium as the small pizza size is actually smaller than a traditional dinner plate. I also adore their iced cappuccino — there’s just something yummy about it that is the best way to start the day (ironically as this place is next to a coffee shop). The wait staff are attentive and generally pretty friendly. They speak limited English but I always am able to communicate what I would like and they always get it right so we make it work. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so its great to have those options too. I really like this place, and would recommend it for family, friends, or any sort of group looking for some good, casual food.
