So, I went here after doing the reverse Dragon’s back Hike(we started at the cemetery and ended at the bus stop). Instead of taking the bus back to the MTR, we decided to grab lunch at Shek O Beach. This place was one of the few places that showed up on tripadvisor, so we figured it would be a safe bet. We were really happy we stopped in since the seafood was delicious. The restaurant itself was open-air, which was perfect in the winter. We sat on one of the tables and started with a large bottle of Heineken. We also ordered seafood green curry, hot curry shrimp and Thai fried-noodle with egg(basically pad thai). You do have to request rice if you want it, but they bring it quick. All the food was delicious and flavorful. The shrimp was flavored very well, but the highlight for me was the seafood curry that had squid, crab, mussels and fish. It was delicious and served with a flame to keep the curry hot as you continued to eat it. I would definitely go back to this place if I’m ever in HK since it was much more convenient than I thought and the small town of Shek O is a nice diversion from the madness of downtown HK.

I don’t care if I paid $ 10USD per dish we got. After a 4-hour hike from dragon’s back and taking a minibus to Shek O, some good fried food is bound to taste good! The salt and pepper with chili, garlic and onion was so good for the chicken wings. The wings themselves were ok and not flavored inside but it was quite salty outside so no matter. My fried garlic calamari was really salty with a hint of curry flavor. Most were chewy and rubbery, but meh. They had a special for beer so we got 2 large Blue Girl beers for $ 30 each. Not too bad.
