Évaluation du lieu : 4 Hong Kong
Convenient Starbucks located next to the Main Library on HKU’s campus. The lines at this shop are typically shorter than the other Starbucks on campus and there imore seating

Back before the Centennial Campus was built, there was only one Starbucks at HKU, located right next to the Main Library. Now, there is a newer one over on the new campus. Actually, I find this outlet normally less crowded than the new one. It isn’t huge but has sufficient seating(a seating capacity of 40, actually, as stated on the website), and there are some tables spilling out towards the side of the walkway to accommodate more people. During busy hours, a member of staff will come round the line and ask customers for their names and orders to speed things up — so that they’ll be able to get their food or drinks faster after they pay. I think this is a pretty good system as otherwise, after a long wait in line, you’ll still be in for a wait to collect your order too. The food and drinks are standard Starbucks, but cheaper since it’s on a university campus. A normally $ 30 drink would cost just around $ 20 here, and food is much cheaper too! This makes getting a quick snack or coffee here a very popular choice among students — just because the same things would be so much more expensive at other Starbucks. The food is generally of a good standard — I’ve tried a lot of their stuff, like their blueberry muffin, mushroom and cheese pocket and their chicken mushroom pie, and have never been disappointed. On a cold winter morning, a hot coffee from Starbucks is all it takes to get you through the day — the convenience and the relatively cheaper prices are definitely winning factors. I must admit that I’m eternally grateful for the existence of Starbucks on campus!
