Yes. It’s expensive. Let’s get that out of the way first. But, for a restaurant in Hong Kong, the service was outstanding. In fact, I, like the gringo I am, was having a hard time with the crab. The waiter came over and offered to show us the best way to crack and get the meat out of the crab(it’s the scissors, dummy!). The flavors were outstanding. Probably the second best crab experience I’ve had, next to the black pepper crab in Thailand. The mantis shrimp were uglier than my first girlfriends personality and huge. All in all, a fantastic meal. I think this is a must for when I return.

I really enjoyed my first dining experience in Hong Kong here. I was so lucky to be able to be seated immediately upon my arrival because we arrived within the first 5 minutes they opened. They did ask if we had reservations but of course I did not… I got the crab special with fried garlic, string beans(yum!), fried shrimps and vegetable fried rice. I wanted to try the mantis shrimps but the thought of paying $ 30PERSHRIMP was absolutely out of the question! Our order arrived within 15 minutes of ordering and I was in love! I could’ve eaten just the string beans and rice as my main course as it was so good! The crabs were tasty but as I’ve experienced in my worldly travels, especially in Asia, the sodium usage is insane but so darn good in the dishes! The service was good and the staff kept checking on us foreigners. Only weird experience was one of the staff placing his fingers on my daughter’s shrimps to see why she was not eating it. Well if she had any plans on eating it, it just went out the door…

I would rate Under Bridge as 2 ½ stars. I have to admit, I didn’t realize so many restaurants would be closed during the New Year’s weekend. After going to one closed place after another, we stopped by Under Bridge for a «quick» dinner. There was a huge line outside, but we went up to the front anyway. Luckily, they seated us on the top floor in one of the back rooms. You have to order crab if you go to a restaurant with crab in its name, so we got: Bamboo clams with vermicelli: at about 15USD each, they were expensive, but so good. Love the vermicelli and garlic, along with the clams. Spicy crab: wow, so expensive, at about 90USD for one. We ordered this, our other dishes came, but about 2530 minutes into dinner, still no crab. After asking for our check, the crab came two out two minutes later. The crab itself is covered in fried garlic and tasted very good(two huge claws as well). However, for the price, I probably would have preferred to order some mantis prawns instead. On top of that, since it was open on a holiday, they decided to up the service charge. I doubt that I would return again, especially after eating the crab dishes in Singapore that tasted better and were much cheaper.

Horrible service. Wish I could give minus star. 1. First time I got yelled(literally) by a waitress ‘just wait!!!’ simply for asking my order to be taken. 2. Nobody leads to the table and when I asked a(different) waitress, got yelled ‘walk’ with her back at me. No use complain to the boss neither. And 15% service charge enforced?! Not going back ever.

Really yummy crab. Good for garlic lovers and people that don’t mind MSG hangovers. Mantis Prawn is delicious, but very expensive. Also good customer service for HK!
