Yoshinoya, the popular japanese fast food restaraunt can be found all over Hong Kong. I have a fond place in my heart for Yoshinoya from my first trip to Asia where I was overwhelmed by culture shock, but unwilling to admit defeat and eat at McDonalds, so I retreated to this shop for some filling rice bowls topped with beef and onions.
This Yoshinoya, located close to the Hill Road exit at the HKU stop of the MTR is nice and clean in the dining area with lots of windows giving nice light. The kitchen is in the hallway adjacent to the dining room, so it is strange to order. Upon this visit I ordered my usual «number 1» which arrived quickly and tasted just as good as I remember.
