Came hear after hours ~130am, sat night. Packed full of mixed crowd at this point. Old(40+), young(18 – 25), and in between. MOstly young though. The first floor plays house, DnB, electronica, dance Has a VIp section right by the HUGE bar. Getting adrink takes time and unless you cane it at the bar will eventually end up on you at some point. Second floor has another, much less crowded and a little more relaxing. Third floor has a nother dance floor playing rap, RnB, hip hop. Overall a standard meat market not exactly high class but you don’t come to a place called«Espionage» for high class. Some girls were running around bar foot because they couldn’t handle the hooker heels that seems to be so popular right now(2010). Have a couple shots(strong ones) then grab a chaser and enjoy the night. A great place to dance and get stupid. And in my case get raped by a butch lesbian and her senior citizen old mother. And when i kindly say i must get going, tell me that«I have my skirt on tonite». These are my kinda ladies! HAHAHA.

not too sure about espionage… only been a few times. not really much of a dancefloor… the dancefloors they do have are kinda weirdly shaped and small. it’s really expensive for drinks there too… i was £27 for a round of about 4 drinks!!! not impressed! didnt find the staff there very friendly either! and as for the people that go there(customers) well my boyfriend’s mum was there and whilst on the toilet someone reached her hand under the cubicle door and snatched her bag!!! the staff were’nt very helpfull with this!!! also when i had my bag in their cloakroom i got it back at the end of the night and it was opened… items were missing from it and my bank card had been snapped!!! all in all i wouldnt really recommend it!

Espionage is a reasonable club in Aberdeen. It’s not my favourite. The dance floors are pretty small and usually too cramped to do much dancing. There are plenty of bars to buy drinks but the prices are pretty dear– about £3 for a Baileys. It can be nice to sit in Espionage when it’s quiet for a drink if you are out early as there are comfy sofas placed about. But just because Espionage isn’t too my taste doesn’t mean I don’t recommend it. Entry is free which is always a bonus but expect queues if you don’t get there early.

In here on the weekend. It was bearable. A bit too busy and was a bit drunk. Music was alright too. Top floor is indeed a bit intimidating and normally avoided but overall the place has character and the hook of free entry which makes too many people attend. Do not like the male toilets being by the first floor as when they smell it can really influence the experience. Have not met any amazing people in here. Not my scene but overall will do.

While Espionage is conveniently located on the main street in Aberdeen, there are certainly more appealing clubs for anybody who is over the legal drinking age. Split across 2 floors, the club itself isn’t a bad layout, but they do have a well-known drug problem on the top floor, which most people would understandably rather avoid. To add to the already poor image, they also have extortionate prices for their drinks with a vodka and red bull setting you back almost £5! The only plus side to going to Espionage is that they do play good music pretty much every night, but personally that’s not enough to get me back there through choice. For anybody who does happen to like the place, they do offer a membership scheme that can get you cheaper drinks and they do also run some theme nights that can be good for a laugh. Despite all the negative points, I’ve rated this with 2 stars as there is a new manager taking over shortly so I do have high hopes for the future. If they can only clear up the drug problem, the under-age drinkers and review the drink prices, this would be a 4⁄5 star club. Here’s to the future!
