Triple Kirks

I moved here a year ago. It used to be my favourite place until today. I got asked for my ID and after I gave her it she told me that Iv got to have a student card that support my ID because they think it might be fake. I have used my ID here ever since I moved and nobody ever asked for something to support it. I explained to the bar tender that Im not a student and I have nothing to support my ID. I think this is very unfair and stupid. The staff should be familiarised with other ID card especially for countries in the European Union.

Very much a student bar! One of the chain of scream pubs which offer popular discounts with a ‘yellow card’ (only on offer to students) This allows you to buy cheap drinks and food. Even without a yellow card there are always drink and food promotions on.
Their specialty is the Scream Burger, which is delicious! They also serve curry, pies, sandwiches and other types of burger.
There are plenty of seats and a few sofas to lounge on. They often show the football, so it can get quite busy sometimes, especially at the weekend.

The food is CRAP! It used to be good.
Its sticky, dingy and disgusting.
And reeks of sweat.

A student hang out as mentioned with tacky cheap things on the go. Good for getting drunk on the cheap especially if you have a yellow card and the food is good to fill you up. You can meet a variety of people in here as it is a nice openminded type of place. I would say you meet more nice people in here then nasties. :) Students do not tend to be as pretentious as other types from ‘the other end of town’. So this place is worth a visit on the belmont street crawl. You tend to be made welcome here and I usually feel comfortable.

If you’re a student you’ll love this place, cheap drink thanks to the yellow card. if you’re not you wont, too many students and lack of yellow card for cheap drink. It is also full of emos but has good bar staff.

This is another of the main student haunts in Aberdeen and it can become quite rowdy very quickly. It’s not expensive, infact quite the opposite which is why there are so many students that frequent it.
The place itself leaves a lot to be desired unless it’s been improved since the last time i found myself in there. The walls are not describable they are so bad and if you ever need the toilet in here, i suggest you go somewhere else as they are never useable. If you’re lucky enough to find one clean enough to use you definately wouldn’t be lucky enough to find toilet roll.
It can be alright early in the night, but later on stay away unless you feel like sticking to the floor and finding yourself in a fight. Definately wins the title of cheap and tacky.

This is a student pub but all sorts of people come to it. It’s friendly and cheap. They also serve food which is good and one of the chef’s there is an outstanding chef called Foggie!
