An old-school pub; come here to sip Adnams sat outside looking out over the sea, or inside in the darkwood interior. Don’t, however, expect service with a smile, unless you’re an actual local, which you patently will not be if you need to read this !

This pub is a traditional English seaside pub, upon entering the smell of hearty English food was over whelming, the pies are huge. The service is abrupt and abrasive but the ales are good although Not much choice beyond that. A good beer garden that backs on to the beach. Inside could do with a bit of a re-furb but it does all a pub needs to do.

This small pub is a legend to all who have ever been to the Aldeburgh Carnival. From back door to the beach it is full of young drinkers, kids and families trying to soak up the wonderful atmosphere that Aldeburgh is renowned for. It has the usual lagers and ales, the food is fairly decent and its garden backs onto the beach which means you can sit on the beach with your drink and no one will bother you while you soak up the rays, its great. To anyone who hasn’t been to Aldeburgh or this pub, you must make it this summer. The best fish n chip shop in the world is also just down the high street, so its a great place to relax and enjoy inexpensive but very tasty food. I was here on Saturday and it already seemed like spring.
