We fund this bar after Yellp event. Very close to tram station, cheap cheap cheap lol pint cost 2.50. Very loud but this is football pub with big TV. Lots of football fans. Staff nice and friendly and happy to help with everything.

Despite going to hang out with some friends and enjoying their company on a Saturday early evening, I have to give the Station the lowest number possible. Quite simply this is a ‘pub by numbers’ that knows it coasts on its regulars so doesn’t need to do anything slightly impressive. Growing up in the Isle of Man, there’s a number of pubs I know just like this with a poor range of beers(literally just crappy standard lager, I had a pint of Murphy’s as the best booze option) and flat atmosphere — all cheap fake wood and everything able to be wiped down easily…(we could smell urinal cakes when we walked in, wouldn’t surprise me if the floor had also been bleached within the hour too…) Even though I got a round in for my pals, the bar manager/owner looked pained that I was reeling off drink after drink that I wanted him to grab for me(sorry about wanting to give you money, good job this isn’t a cocktail lounge as I only needed pints of beers and screw top wine…) No cards accepted, no large bottles of wine, no chance I’ll be wanting to put it on my regular list of venues to visit.

I’m going to give this place 4 stars for price and staff service. I can’t recall anywhere in the UK I’ve been, where I can get a rum and coke(Captain Morgan Spiced, not Bacardi!) for a measly £2.50! These are Caribbean prices! Yes ok, it’s not Belgian Bar round the corner and it lacks the class of some of these over-pretentious hipster hang-outs, but it does what it says on the tin and if you want to watch sports, in relaxed non-judgemental surroundings, without breaking the bank, then look no further.

For a Wetherspoonsey pub this is alright. I would not write home about it but if you wanted a quick cheeky cheap pint this will do. I do not know Altrincham well enough yet, but yes I did go to an awesome bar before this, offering a much extensive range of beer and was cozier away from the football. But this place was a lot cheaper… it cost me £2.50 for a pint of Kronenburg,.which is not bad but if I had to stay longer I would have struggled what to order next because the bar is so limited… If you like your football and like to get drunk on cheap beer then this place is for you…

Located next to the Tram /Train /Bus depot, this should be a great place for a quick drink or a starting point but simply isn’t. The drinks on tap selection is OK, however the place is generally dark due to the large blackout for the big screen that’s generally down for the football. There is a really shocking ‘club’ upstairs that if not for the meek and you will certainly feel that you’ll need to keep your wits about you(it seems to be for people that won’t get in anywhere else). The best aspect is for football fans in that it has the fancy foreign feed and generally will be showing the United /City game at 3pm on a Saturday if one is one. This used to be a pretty good pub, but during my last couple of visits it simply felt depressing Toilets are pretty well kept mind. I hope it improves.
