A perfect place to stop on the southbound A66 to avoid the generic motorway services (and prices) of Scotch Corner. The décor is homely and cleanly-​styled, the service also.
We felt very welcomed and with the views over the road towards the moors, soon relaxed and were ready for lunch.
Some lovely home-​made soup and a sandwich was followed by a decent cup of coffee and we were set to continue our journey.
Toilets were clean and fresh too.
Definitely glad we stopped here; this is one to remember for future trips south.
