I was looking for a bar in the area when I found this café and rather than having a drink I thought better to have something to eat before heading on the train back to Glasgow. Cassandra’s café is a 42 seater eatery serving light snacks such as breakfast rolls, soups and cakes but there is a lunch time special menu with many items being around the £3.50 mark. Even though I know that cafes are cheap it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a café at these prices. The food is basic & old school and for the prices you aren’t going to get quality, but for sure you will get a good feed.
