Cineworld Cinemas

Went here to see Despicable Me 2 because my local cinema didn’t show it and I was pleasantly surprised. Apart from the normal popcorn rip-​off, everything was really reasonably priced. We ordered a large drink each and immediately regretted it as we were given cups bigger than our heads. Definitely only order one and share. The seats were comfortable, the room wasn’t too hot or too cold and one of the staff came in and made sure we were all in the correct screening which was pretty decent (it’s always a secret worry of mine).
The only thing I’d say is that we sat there for about 10 minutes wondering if we were in the wrong room because they started showing Monsters Inc as a sort of «trailer». I say «trailer» because we sat through 10 minutes of actual film before it faded to black and normal movie trailers started playing. Bit weird.

A cinema is a cinema right? No matter where you go you always pay for overpriced popcorn and have to walk on sticky floors. It’s the norm.
Although, standing at the Ickes office for 5 minutes waiting for someone to turn up and take too much money from us isn’t. No one even shouted to say where to buy tickets, instead we had to shout over to the guy selling popcorn, to which he replied. over here… It wouldn’t of been a problem if there was a sign or if they hadn’t watched us stand there knowing what we were waiting for. Once we bought out tickets we thought we would waste a little time in the arcade, which used to be a lot better. But we couldn’t because the change machine wouldn’t take any kind of money from anyone. Sooo we just watched our film, which wasn’t the best but that’s not anything to do with the cinema mind, the 35 minutes of adverts was a bit much though
