The Greyhound, formerly know as The orrell Arms is a great pub located nearby to Hale and Altrincham. It is part of the JW Lees chain of pubs. A very good one though. I visited here in a Saturday evening and was able to get a table for 2 but may have struggled if there were more as a lot of reserved signs were out. The staff here are excellent… Maybe because it has recently been refurbished and they are trying extra hard but let’s hope the service stays this way as I can see me coming here quite often. The food was excellent — had some of the best hummus I’ve had… Red pepper with warm pitta bread. For main I had a peri peri chicken salad and some chips. The chicken was decent but I felt it was a little expensive for what u actually received. Didn’t have time for desert but they sounded and looked great. Will be back in the near future.

I have never been here before but fancied some pub food so went for a drive and found this place. When we went in it was a lovely atmosphere modern and old mixed together and it worked really well. I liked the fact they had a log burner would be nice to go in winter. The food was really nice the red pepper hummus was really nice would definatly have that again. And lasagne was really nice with salad and garlic flat bread. The staff were really friendly and informative about about the food. They have an outdoor seating area so would be nice to go and sit out in the summer. I would definitely go back.
