I‘ll agree about this apartment store. visit almost every time down in Seaton, Good bus ride, excellent Market on Thursdays, rounding off with a brunch inside their superb tea café on the first floor.

This is a great store in the centre of Axminster. They have good quality clothing and accessories at reasonable prices and the customer service is always very helpful indeed. Thank you.

Trinity House is a department store in the heart of Axminster, with great customer service and a good range of different items from duvets to luggage. It has a sizeable clothing department with good quality clothes, with brands like Eastex; I was particularly impressed with the range of men’s polo shirts, expensive, but just something a little different. The cookware department of Trinity House has a vast range of items for the kitchen: saucepans, utensils, tea-​towels, appliances etc. Arguably the best department in what overall is a great store, a little dated in parts maybe, but a purveyor of quality items nonetheless.

If you are relatively new to Axminster and think it revolves around the new Londonites River Cottage et al and Tescos — think again Trinity House is a proper established business that is know for fantastic customer service, quality and value. I would highly recommend visiting and using these shops — if you are local you would have already and if you are visiting for the weekend — pay them a visit and get to know what the real countryside town shop and shop service is like.
