Tesco Stores

This Tesco supermarket is great — huge selection of everything from meats and fish to specialties like meat pies and prepared meals, booze of every description, candy, fresh produce and all the way to clothes, electronics and the like.
Always clean and always busy but plenty of staff so no long wait at the check-​out.
Interesting architecture, a previous review suggested that it used to be a railway station — Nope! It was the Kayser Bondor until the 1980’s when it was bought by Tesco. Kayser Bondor made ladies stockings — but switched to making parachutes during World War II.
Wish that we had selection like this in the USA!!!

This is by far the best Tesco Extra store in the area! I believe it’s an old railway station, so is very attractive also. As an Extra store it sells absolutely everything from pants to polos. There is plenty of parking space, cash points, Self Service Checkouts and now even a Krispy Kreme stall! The staff here are always friendly and happy to help on any occasion. There is also a Petrol Garage on site, jet wash and hand car wash within the car parking itself. All of which are very reasonably priced and often the cheapest petrol in the area.

This store looks very impressive from the outside, but is also impressive on the inside.
It sells everything. Clothes, electrical items, DVD’s, games etc. down to all your food needs.
It has a large car park and petrol garage.
The self service Checkouts are easy to use, and staff are on hand to help if needed.
All in all you can get everything you need all under one roof.

This is a huge branch of Tesco, & stocks just about everything.
There’s a café where food & drink is reasonably priced, although I often get something to eat from the freshly cooked counter & eat it while I’m shopping (remembering to present & pay for the empty wrapper on my way out).
Big car park, & a short walk from the small town centre.

This Tesco Store is really big. They sell a wide range of stuff and their prices are competitive. They have a huge car park with a decent amount of Parent & Child and Disabled spaces. They have a café indoors that sells good value cooked food. They have a petrol station and a fab recycling centre that gives you clubcard points for recycling. Their baby change room is well stocked with FREE nappies and wipes, which I think is fantastic.

As an Extra store it sells absolutely everything and the store is usually very tidy. Lots of parking space, cash points, Self Service Checkouts but unfortunately no Krispy Kreme stall (only the ones that are delivered!)

This Tesco’s is a large Tesco Extra located on the old A505 just as you come into Baldock itself. The store front itself is not a modern one but it looks nicer because of it as its not just a glass front as most newer Tesco’s are.
As it is an Extra, it stocks everything from TV’s to toothpaste, so everything you need is under one roof. The car park is large (and needs to be as it does get busy), and the store also contains a petrol garage.
