I can’t really fault this place at all: the staff are all reasonably friendly even though they have one of the worst jobs known to man, the food tastes very good (in a ‘I’m being really unhealthy and not giving a damn about it’ kind of way) and the prices are rock bottom cheap. Obviously, you want to avoid this place like the plague at lunchtimes, when every Sarah, John and Dave come to get their pasties and sandwiches, whilst queuing halfway down the street, but most other times, it’s a great service that won’t harm your funds overtly. On a side note, my friend used to work here and his name was, unfortunately, Greg — why would you do that to yourself?

There are a LOT of sandwich shops in Bath. And most of them have much better sandwiches than Greggs. There are also specialist Pasty shops if you fancy that. So Greggs is a jack of all trades, master of none. Sandwiches, pasties, cakes, bread, it has a good selection of them all. And their prices are very competitive. But for me, there are better options for your lunch.

This is a really nice place to eat whichever town you are in. But the food here is served particularly quickly. It always tastes fresh and is hot. I like the steak bake, chicken bake and sausage rolls the best. Its £ 1.19 for a steak bake so its really good value compared to most shop bought lunches. The only disadvantage is that you cant sit down and eat indoors, which is a shame when its cold and wet outside.
