Amazing dinner find in this small town. Food to rival the best restaurants in London. Octopus and clams carpaccio in martini foam is well worth the visit. Beef cheek, lobster or monk fish to follow.

We nearly did not stay for lunch. The man behind the counter we a little offish but we persisted. This place is amazing. The ladys are very friendly. The food is fantastic with a massive selection.

We enjoy the selection of food here.
They usually have Norwegian brown cheese, but they had run out this Saturday.
I did manage a slice of their raspberry and white chocolate crumble which was heavenly.

Baileys is famous in Beccles. It has a fantastic range of meats, cheeses, wines, chutneys etc.
The pastries and bread are always fresh. The only downfall is that sometimes known locals get served before the queue, which can be terribly annoying. Staff not terribly friendly, which is a shame as if they were, it would be five stars.

Excellent selection from the Delicatessen, prices soon add up though!!. Occasionally use the café, but today tried the ploughmans, very dissappointed, probably my fault for not asking the contents, but it arrives with a pork pie and no bread. In 50 years of eating ploughmans lunches always had crusty bread and never a pork pie. Couldn’t eat it, very dissapointed.

This place is wonderful! Great staff! Lovely owner and his wife. The food! Oh, the food! The most fantastic range of beautiful cheeses — hard and soft! You should try the Keans Cheddar. Freshly home-​made pastries and other yummy, yummy stuff! Pasta, biscuits, interesting breads, sausages, and brilliant coffee! They have a great range of ceramics and a tiny café where you can indulge in their tasty, high quality foods.
Do not miss this place if you’re passing! But beware, you will spend more than you intended!
