Robinson Pool

The main pool is only 33.33 meters. If you get in a 50m pool you would know it. Still a great facility though.

Robinson is a fantastic leisure centre just outside the town centre with a range of facilities including a large Swimming Pool, Diving Area and Gym. Membership prices are reasonable but if your like me and don’t want to be tied down then you can just pay on the door whenever you go.

The largest swimming pool in Bedford that also has a diving area and also a children’s pool. This is good for experienced swimmers and beginners with classes for children and adults. Robinson Pool also has a café and a gym.

This is another of my local pools which I have visited many times. It is certainly the largest in Bedford with 3 seperate pool areas all under one roof.
Pool one — very long (50m?) goes from shallow to very deep. This is perfect for swimming lengths in.
Pool 2 — around a metre deep, quite large. This is a pool specially for families (i.e with young children learning to swim) all the people who use this pool are understanding as everyone is in the same position and with children.
Pool 3 — The diving pool. This has 2 diving boards, one on the pool side, one midway up and a high platform (with no board). Obviously the pool here is very deep!
Due to the way they split the pools up everyone gets what they want and can do it peacefully!
This pool also has a gym but I have never used it.
Perking here is often difficult as it gets full very quickly.
