Damon’s

Went today, First time since I was a teen, The food was VERY nice, Char Sui ribs and chicken, onion loaf and mushrooms. Beautiful, the other half had a Club sandwich.
Very attentive Server, Thank you Claudia (Congratulations being the first person for me to give a gratuity to) couldn’t of asked for a better meal at all, music was ok but the General ambience was great. Very Clean and very well presented!

Think the first time I went was 2007.
Down side:
Plastic plates, makes it feel a bit tacky.
They don’t sell John Smiths either. Also no longer do twice baked potatoes an no pepercorn sauce for your steak :(
Drinks prices are high, but not much more compared to most places.
Good points: Cocktail happy hours cheap round if your taking the Mrs.
Food is expensive for what you get. Can be annoying keep hearing happy birthday sung every 2 mins and there’s always plenty of annoying kids in.
think the last time we went it cost about £50 for two of us. Was still starving when I left. Would not recommend.

Huge and greasy is the order of the day here. It’s all bout sticking it in a sauce or covering it in batter. Prices are expensive, £17 for burger and chips. Starters around £7 and desserts for £4.
If it’s birthday, you get main meal free as long as it’s not the fillet steak or lobster. Décor dated and onion loaf sounds okay until you get it and it’s a conglomerate of onion rings.
Would rate this as a better, all out American version of Frankie and Bennys but even more expensive.

Damons is an excellent place to go if you are in need of a meaty meal.
The best time to go is weekday lunchtimes, when it’s less busy and they have their combo platter deals on.
Booking is definitely recommended for evenings and weekends though, as otherwise you could find yourself in for a very long wait in the bar.
The ribs are excellent, a must try if you visit.
The staff are friendly and helpful, even if they are forced to sing happy birthday on occasion!
I’d definitely recommend trying them out if you enjoy American diner style food!

Very odd shaped resturant. The whole place is got this trying to exclusive awesome date place but just comes off like a overly expensive café. The food is already but not worth what they are charging. The staff were not overly helpful and the service was slow.
Parking was plentiful but the building is this huge round wheel thing. It took a bit of walking to get to the door, also the place is pretty out of the way as well.

Famous for its ribs and really near to crystal peaks. American diner style. Everything on the menu is pretty much expected american food style. It can get quite busy so a booking is wise/

Damons is a nice American diner just outside Crystal Peaks retail park. .The interior is decorated with old movie posters in an american theme, though i do think it can be a bit dark at time The food is always nice, especially the ribs which are always highly regarded in the local area.
It can get busy at times, as has been mentioned, so it is always best to book a table in advance. The drinks can be a bit expensive at times, but the seating is always comfortable.
Definatley go on your birthday for a free meal and cake.

Always found this is a good friendly place to go out for a meal. Been out a few times with work and no problems with big partys too, just make sure you book!
Sometimes have some chicken wings in a try for you to snack on while you wait for your table. Bar is quite pricey though.
The food is real nice and i really recommend the ribs! Sometimes there is a little wait but it’s usually not a problem as conversation is in flow and all are having a good time.
They used to do free meals for your birthday too with a chocolate cake too, make sure you get the real loud waiter to sing happy birthday to you :)

It does feel like a cafeteria at times with the noise but the food more than makes up for it. There can be a bit of a wait if you don’t book a table but there’s a bar area to sit in. The drinks are a bit pricey for what they are but the food is very good value for money.
As another reviewer has mentioned, definitely have a look at the cocktail menu if you’re stuffed and can’t manage a dessert!

I love this place, it has a great atmosphere and the food is delicious. The only downside is the waiting time on busy days. When you enter you are shown to the bar area where you wait until your table is ready. The food is american diner style ie burgers, chicken, ribs etc, everything I have had has being delicious. You even get your meal frr on your birthday if you take i. d in

Echoing the sentiments of the above review, this is one of my favourite places to eat. American style bar and grill restaurants seem to be popping up all over the place these days in varying degrees of style and efficiency, but for more than 10 years now, Damons has been the benchmark I judge them by.
Its a great place to eat with friends — the waiting is usually minimal, even at weekends, and the bar is always lively. the food is very good — I’ve never had cause to complain about anything. They’re noted for being the home of ribs, but they also do a nice line in chicken — BBQ, cajun etc, and the desserts are well priced — a bit of a rarity in theis day and age.
The interior is fine — old style movie posters and an american theme gives you plenty to look at. Its clean, the service is always well above average and the cocktail menu is well worth a try if you feel like something a bit different.
Well worth a visit.
