Arthur’s sell the nicest coffee in Belfast. All coffees are £1 before 11am including Americanos, Lattes and Cappuccinos. Any coffee you can think of at all — they’re all only £1 before 11am! Even better — there’s no extra charge for soya milk coffees! My only warning is to be prepared to queue up and wait as Arthur’s is exceptionally popular and busy.

Not bad, not bad at all. I was about 10 minutes early for a meeting in the city centre today so I decided to pop in to Arthurs to kill a bit of time. As eluded to Arthur’s is in a really handy location beside Montgomery Street Car park and only a short dander from Victoria Square. s iWith loads of neighboring offices I suspect Arthur’s is rammed in the morning and at lunch time but luckily for me I visited around 2:30pm and there were only a few other customers. As soon as I walked in I was asked ‘what I would like?’ and to be honest I hadn’t even worked that out in my head yet so I just blurted out Americanno! I like the prompt sty;e of the staff in here — no messing about — gimmie your order! The coffee was great — very strong which is just what I needed before a meeting. I even got myself a wee pecan slice as there was a lonely one left in a basket just staring at me at the counter. So I had to, you know yourself! Anyway, it’s a big old thumbs up from me for Arthur’s and who knows it might even get that extra star when I sit in!

I love a bargain. I used to think it made me a bit of a skinflint but when I saw Lisa Marie Presley using coupons in a food store in the USA I thought and saw myself differently. Anyway the £1 any type of coffee(morning deal) pulled me in and it’s now pulled me in quite a few times. The deal is sit in or take out. I think there are similar mid afternoon deals too. I can see why Chris O likes this place as the coffee is tasty, very high quality and the barista knows what he’s doing here. The barista is a friendly guy, talkative and the place is usually crammed with happy chatty customers. The location is central Belfast just off Royal Avenue with some outdoor seating. There are very good food and drink combo deals. The server told me yesterday that a new menu board is on the way with some food prices going up a bit but the coffee prices will remain the same. Ah my skinflint nature was satisfied and it seems the £1 deal with stay in place. I’ll be back.

This place has become a regular of mine. Ive been coming to this ‘unit’ on Arthur Street for a while, but mostly under its previous incarnation in a past life as ‘The Bagel Factory’. It was good, very good and I was sad to see it close. However now that the place has re-opened as a coffee house and sandwhich bar it is back on top. The shop seems to have taken some queues from its previous life and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some sort of connection behind the scenes with the owner/operator. Most importantly the menu is top notch and a few of the filling combinations are the same as before it was Arthur’s, although now you can get them not just in bagels but also sadnwhiches, pannini etc. They seem to use top quality ingredients and breads which make from a great lunchtime experience. I origionally went when it had just opened and found thet despite the great quality the sandwhiches were a little let down by not being as we ll filed as I thought they could be, however someone must have had a word in their ear and that no longer seems to be the case. The staff set the place apart too, there is a level of genuine interaction there that goes beyond the larger franchise chain, where staff are told to ask set pleasentaries and smile at all times, traits which look very forced and false. Overall its very friendly staff, good food, good coffee(very important for me if you read my other reviews) and its handy location in town,(certainly for me anyway) mean that I will be calling in regularly.
