If you like shopping in a cattle market — shop at this Asda store. No matter what time of the day it is it is always packed to the rafters with shoppers and constantly have to queue. This is partly due to the fact with it being just off the motorway, it is a favourite with shoppers from ROI. It says a lot about the price of shopping in ROI if people are resorting to driving into the North to save a few Euros! The value of the products is quite good at times and it always has the best offers on alcohol around this area. For a much more pleasent shopping experience though shop at Sainsburys. It may be slightly more expensive but it’s worth it.

There are a few things to note about this Asda. Firstly, it’s extremely busy, especially since a local shopping retailer sold their premises to Sainsburys (see my Sainsburys Kennedy Centre review). The more expensive Sainsburys nearby drove even more people through Asda’s doors. If you’re in a rush of any kind, you do not want to get caught in here on a Saturday (some evenings are busy, too). The short space between the tills and aisles means that you end up queueing all over the place, and are constantly in someone’s way,
Secondly, you can also get clothing, electrical items, DVDs, etc. in here. It’s a limited selection, but a big enough section for what is primarily a grocery store. Better value than Sainsburys.
