Ashers

Ok. These guys have had a lot of press recently but wherever you stand on the cake issue, it’s undeniable that Ashers do really good, home baked food & at ridiculously low prices!
They do a meal deal of a sub roll, a drink and a cup cake and the choice of each is vast!
They also do hot food — stew, pies, sausage rolls, soups and daily specials.
Lunch times can be pretty busy and you’ll probably have to queue but usually that’s the sign of quality.
Most people take away but there is a bench along the shop front or 1 large table with chairs. Sort of encourages random people to eat together.
