Unfortunately I have to drop a star after a recent visit to the Beechill for Valentine’s Day. I’m not sure if it was because they were mass-cooking for the occasion, but the food wasn’t of great quality — for example the«stuffed steak» turned out to be a chewy and rather tasteless bit of rolled up beef, and the desserts weren’t great either. We did, however, have a lovely Sunday dinner here once so they may have just been having an off day. There is parking available, but the bar/restaurant is a little out of the way if you aren’t driving.

I love this place. Nice cosy but spacious bar with a nice old charm. It’s comfy and I always get a good seat. Big open fire for the winter with big sofas stuck right in front of it. Location wise it’s a hidden gem slap bang in the middle of a quiet residential area. Every time that I’ve eaten here the food has always been excellent. Service has always been great. Best to pre book, we walked in on a Friday evening to an empty dining room and were advised that almost all tables had been booked, how quickly it filled up was unbelievable. Please don’t ever change Beechhill Inn

I really like the Beechill Inn — there’s no doubt its slightly dated in décor and architecture but it’s still a nice bar and restaurant. Plus there’s something charming in its old fashioned interior. Cosy, relaxed and laid back this Inn has a lovely open fire for the winter months and outside seating for summer time. Serves good, tasty pub grub type food also. Location is a little out of the way — but that just adds to the charm. Looking forward to returning for some food and beverages.
