Centra is handy if you want a good tasting lunch quick. I had a chicken baguette with bacon, cheese and salad with south west sauce. The baguette tasted really nice and quenched my hunger. The sandwich was freshly prepared and only cost £3.70. Centra is very convienent, low cost but great tasting food!

My friend just got a pre-made roll from the cabinet in here. They were a rip off £3.30 for a long time and now this one is £3.50, so it looks like this place that was already too expensive is ready to start letting price trickle up! It’s an ok shop. The service is fine but you’d be luckily to find a staff member you could describe as pleasant. There’s a manager type that hangs over customers and staff watching everything like a hawk that makes the experience a little unpleasant(perhaps accounting for the downtrodden feel you get from staff) and the prices aren’t great. A pre made(distinctly average) baguette with filling is £3.30. Most dedicated delis will beat this price and other shops with pre made stuff like tesco will do a similar sub with Coke and fruit/crisis for £3.00! If it wasn’t for its proximity to work and being time pressed I didn’t think I’d bother!

Forget the Centra as a convenience store, it’s all about the amazing Deli. At lunchtime workers have been known to travel from Donegal Quay to enjoy its many delights. Southern Fried chicken baguette with cheese and pepper sauce is my lunch of choice when visiting the Centra. It might not sound too appetising but it’s amazing. This is an extremely central Centra(That’s a tongue twister) so it does get busy at peak times. You could easily wait 15 minutes for a sandwich but that’s not a jibe at the staff just a comment on the popularity. There’s an ATM on site so don’t worry about getting lunchtime cash, just join the back of the queue.
